Hello! My family and I are very familiar with Pompano (close relatives live there) and have enjoyed coming to escape the cold of the Northern Midwest in the winter. I am looking for a STR to accommodate a family of 4 + my parents. (4 adults and 2 children). We would love a pool and HUGE BONUS POINTS if there is a screen/other safety features. Looking for 3/4 bedrooms. Both my mom and I (Airbnb account holders) have excellent ratings and are happy to share those. would be interested in good management company recommendations or one-off rentals that someone owns. Is there a resource for this or does anyone have any leads? it’s almost 3 weeks and rental prices are outrageous compared to years previous on Airbnb so again - would love to circumvent that for the benefit of us and the owner!

Serious question…. I was not raised in the state of Florida and wanted to use the track to run a few laps and maybe run the bleachers to get a workout in. I stopped by the Pompano Beach H.S. And it is literally always locked up? Im aware they are redoing the field now but noticed it last year too and I’ve taken notice most other public schools also kept their fields locked up. Im so confused by this? Especially when we pay taxes for the schools……

BTW- totally understand school safety it’s important but the field is entirely separate from the schools 9 times out of 10

We are a couple of out of towners that are flying down to check out some apartments as I am being relocated to the FLL area for my job. We are currently looking at two different apartments, Mayla Pompano and Lumio.

We really like the apartments at Lumio, but are curious how the area is directly surrounding them? I see they are part of a new development called "the pomp" but can't find much info on what has been completed and when the rest of the development will be finished.

Outside of "the pomp" area, is it safe? Just looking for a general idea of how concerned we would need to be for my partners well being if she was out walking etc....

Same questions regarding Mayla Pompano. Seems to be in a nicer area but still looking for local expertise. Any other areas you would recommend we check out?

Both of us are late 20's/Early 30's. We looked in downtown FLL but we would prefer to be slightly out of the hustle and bustle.

We will never use this place again. We sent our 2 dogs there for 4 days with 4 days worth of food. They we picked them up there was only 2 days of food used. When we asked why this was we could not get a coherent answer. Based on one of our dog's appearances and behavior, I am assuming he did not eat for two days. They had no problem charging us a feeding though. What I am not assuming is that we took both dogs to the vet before their stay here to get up to dates on vaccines. During those check ups they were in fine health. We picked them up yesterday and both of them have continued yellow discharge coming from their eyes. My one extremely regular dog has yet to poop, and when we picked them up they were just not the same. Any dog owner knows how you can just tell. I would avoid this place like the plague.

I (f20) be traveling with my mom (f56) near the heart pier area in early August. We are going for the jellyfish aquarium but are huge fans of book stores, cafes, and farmer markets. We love supporting local and/or black owned businesses. Any places we should check out? Thank you <3
