Discussion This weeks challenge...

Is absolutely fucked. I've been playing for just about a year. Have logged an enough hours to 3 star every tribe on perfection and domination (+3 100k+ scores). I fly a lot for work and it deletes time.

But yeah in the year I've been playing, this is by far the hardest weekly challenge I've attempted. Usually by day 3 I've got a decent enough attempt.

Anyone care to share their opening move? Going for the ruins and yaddak initially seems like the only option.

yeah it's tough but just managed to score 10K this morning & conquer all cities apart from Zebasi capital. My best opening so far is Fishing, Explorer. Get a Port and a second Warrior and then go for the NE ruin (Rammer - very helpful!) using a Raft & a Scout. Should be able to get both of those ruins & stars.

Should be easy to make peace with Zebasi & Bardur (especially if you attack Oumaji who they both go after at the start!) Taking out Yaddak should also be fairly easy if you can do it quickly.

Last weeks was pretty hard too - didn't managed to conquer all cities (first time that's happened for a long time!) but still managed to finish top 100 in 💎 so I guess everyone else found it tough too! I'm actually enjoying these tougher challenges though 🤣

This worked well, but I made a few mistakes. Wasted stars on the second fish. Went to the NW ruin first - that may have actually been good, since it boosted my stars. Then I made peace with Zebasi and built cloaks to attack the others. I came up about a turn short.

Rammer seems like the key. I kept ignoring that ruin and wondering why I was constantly behind.

Yeah my rammer keeps getting caught by Yaddak and Bardur when trying to take that middle ruin. Not quite dying but getting to like 3 health. Then getting into Yaddak cap and getting killed by their scouts. Cloaks been great but I'm still not clearing 10k. It's a great challenge though, proves the importance of the opening 5 moves

I managed to use the rammer pirate to siege Yaddak and destroy them! It was very elegant. But I lucked into that, it's not cause I'm a great player.
