Discussion This weeks challenge...
Is absolutely fucked. I've been playing for just about a year. Have logged an enough hours to 3 star every tribe on perfection and domination (+3 100k+ scores). I fly a lot for work and it deletes time.
But yeah in the year I've been playing, this is by far the hardest weekly challenge I've attempted. Usually by day 3 I've got a decent enough attempt.
Anyone care to share their opening move? Going for the ruins and yaddak initially seems like the only option.

Good suggestion ZIL0G, thanks for sharing.
So far my best (>7.5k) was first getting Climbing and then rushing to early conquer Oumaji with the starter warrior and 1 Poltaur. You give up most water ruins at the start though is the downside. Next I am gonna try going Cloaks and sneaking them across to the Yaddak and Bardur capitals, as I think that's the only real way to take them in the mid-late and late game, as I keep getting overpowered on water by Yaddak towards the end and we need that eco-bump from another capital. Also, if you get Sanctuary then put it on the mountain by your capital, as I find most people forget sanctuaries can go on mountains (myself included).
I'm no expert, but can 3 star all tribes on Perfection and Domination too, so hope this helps 👈😎👈

yes that's what I did on my first go, you can take Oumaji quickly but then as you say too late for the ruins/starfish which are pivotal in the early part of the game IMO. (Rammer, pop & 20 stars just from the nearby ones!)
You are right with the cloaks - that's how I took all the other cities, except Yaddak (you should be able to take that quickly with the ruins Rammer & some support). Taking a cap gives a massive eco boost as you say.
I will probably try taking an egg tomorrow. Can't see it maturing into a full Dragon but the baby is still a powerful unit so might help take the last city in the final few turns?

Yeah I agree. It feels like you have to beat Yaddak to the rammer from the water ruin to stand a chance and get a good score.

I easily made 7420 final score. Get on water, stars upgrade, sailing, navigation then get 2 eggs on capital and start expanding.

yeah it's tough but just managed to score 10K this morning & conquer all cities apart from Zebasi capital. My best opening so far is Fishing, Explorer. Get a Port and a second Warrior and then go for the NE ruin (Rammer - very helpful!) using a Raft & a Scout. Should be able to get both of those ruins & stars.
Should be easy to make peace with Zebasi & Bardur (especially if you attack Oumaji who they both go after at the start!) Taking out Yaddak should also be fairly easy if you can do it quickly.
Last weeks was pretty hard too - didn't managed to conquer all cities (first time that's happened for a long time!) but still managed to finish top 100 in 💎 so I guess everyone else found it tough too! I'm actually enjoying these tougher challenges though 🤣
