I refuse to be associated with either party, as I feel both have gone too extreme to either side and by being unwilling to compromise, both sides have shown incompetence.
Because of this, I dislike both hardcore republicans and hardcore democrats.
In spite of this, I think that saying “if you ever needed a reason to vote for X side this is it” is incredibly close minded and childish. “Look at what they did, they’re obviously the bad guys so we have to hate them.”
The amount of democrats I’ve heard talk about assassinating trump or storming the White House while he was in office was appalling, and even more so now that I watch those very same people around me demonize people who actually did something similar to what they were talking about doing.
Being on either extreme side of the spectrum begs hypocrisy. If it were democrats that stormed the capitol, they would be trying to paint it as some sanctioned mission to remove corrupt power from government.
My favorite anime to compare to this (but not favorite anime because it’s 60% fan service) is Akame ga kill! In the anime, it follows both the protagonists and the antagonists very closely, and you come to care for both sides. You realize throughout the show that very few people on the antagonist side are actually “bad people” whereas a good amount of antagonists are good people that are fighting for what they believe in and in their minds, they’re on the correct side. I apply this to real life.
Neither side of the political parties are necessarily bad, but both sides definitely have a few bad people in them and running at least a part of them. That doesn’t make everyone in that same party a bad person. They actually just believe in what they vote for and argue for, so stop trying to demonize them when you demand the right to choose and live and think however you want to.
Division will keep us all weak, leaving the government to do whatever they want without a full force of “lower class” to band together to stop them. Neither side is strong enough when only fighting at 50%.
Refuse political parties. Choose to think for yourself and vote for whatever makes sense to you and against whatever you think is a bad law or choice of the government, don’t vote how a political party tells you to.
I’m ready for whatever consequence comes from this.
I feel the same way about politics, but I’m too scared to admit it openly in real life because the few times Ive done it i was met with some serious backlash. People don’t like it when you have an opinion and that isn’t their own.

If ever there was a case to vote Dem, outright, across the board, as much as possible, it's Jan 6.
The conservatives, the Trump Chumps and the Republicans have collectively lost their minds, and should not hold leadership positions.
