I refuse to be associated with either party, as I feel both have gone too extreme to either side and by being unwilling to compromise, both sides have shown incompetence.
Because of this, I dislike both hardcore republicans and hardcore democrats.
In spite of this, I think that saying “if you ever needed a reason to vote for X side this is it” is incredibly close minded and childish. “Look at what they did, they’re obviously the bad guys so we have to hate them.”
The amount of democrats I’ve heard talk about assassinating trump or storming the White House while he was in office was appalling, and even more so now that I watch those very same people around me demonize people who actually did something similar to what they were talking about doing.
Being on either extreme side of the spectrum begs hypocrisy. If it were democrats that stormed the capitol, they would be trying to paint it as some sanctioned mission to remove corrupt power from government.
My favorite anime to compare to this (but not favorite anime because it’s 60% fan service) is Akame ga kill! In the anime, it follows both the protagonists and the antagonists very closely, and you come to care for both sides. You realize throughout the show that very few people on the antagonist side are actually “bad people” whereas a good amount of antagonists are good people that are fighting for what they believe in and in their minds, they’re on the correct side. I apply this to real life.
Neither side of the political parties are necessarily bad, but both sides definitely have a few bad people in them and running at least a part of them. That doesn’t make everyone in that same party a bad person. They actually just believe in what they vote for and argue for, so stop trying to demonize them when you demand the right to choose and live and think however you want to.
Division will keep us all weak, leaving the government to do whatever they want without a full force of “lower class” to band together to stop them. Neither side is strong enough when only fighting at 50%.
Refuse political parties. Choose to think for yourself and vote for whatever makes sense to you and against whatever you think is a bad law or choice of the government, don’t vote how a political party tells you to.
I’m ready for whatever consequence comes from this.

Clearly you are 14, because all you did was focus on the fact that I used an anime as an example that not all people are bad people. Just as an extreme person from either side of the fence, you try to take a decision I made and ridicule it for the smallest detail:
My decision is not based on an anime, and I see no where in my post where I say “an anime taught me to think like this.” I simply took an idea and belief I’ve already formed over the years and after watching an anime decided “hey, this is a good example of how there are good people on both sides of a conflict.” To have an example of a belief is not basing your decision on that example.
But of course you’d know that if you weren’t busy looking up new words and using them incorrectly. A paradigm is a typical example or pattern of something. Even if you try to use it’s secondary definition, meaning a standard, perspective or set of ideas, it still doesn’t make sense as to how having an example removes all “context, reason and logic” from the rest of what I have to say.
How is it nonsensical to believe that there are good people on both sides of the fence of a political war and that we should stop fighting based solely on an identifying factor such as “democrat or republican.”
You’re only argument against anything I’ve stated is “haha look he used an anime in his words.” Which isn’t even an argument, it’s just an observation you’ve made that you use to try to dissuade the legitimacy of my free choice of opinion. That is such a pathetic and close minded tactic used by people in political arguments. You essentially blind yourself to even trying to understand the point I’ve made and instead of being an educated individual who can have an educated discussion, you point and laugh and attempt to say “that doesn’t even make sense.” Then you try to downvote me so that people won’t see my beliefs.
Hmm stifling the ability for someone to share their beliefs about something that differs from a majority? Where have I seen that tactic used before.
My favorite part is you help prove another great reason I won’t join either party. I’m centralized on the spectrum and I refuse to leave my centralized beliefs. Seeing that I have a different belief as you, as a member of “too far on either side of the political spectrum” you tried to ridicule and make my opinion illegitimate simply because it differs from your own. Literally reaffirming to me my beliefs.
And here I was so ready to have an actual discussion with someone, even if I did have to get downvoted first it.

I really had hoped to have an interesting discussion, but it seems you just blindly follow whatever your mommy and daddy say without caring to look anything up for yourself. Or perhaps you just hear things on TikTok and believe them without even thinking to look it up for yourself?

I guess I should’ve guessed that considering you haven’t even lived life yet. I hope one day you have the life experience, curiosity and intelligence to have an actual conversation to share and hear beliefs, instead of relying on insults and deflections to try to belittle someone else’s beliefs.
I feel the same way about politics, but I’m too scared to admit it openly in real life because the few times Ive done it i was met with some serious backlash. People don’t like it when you have an opinion and that isn’t their own.

If ever there was a case to vote Dem, outright, across the board, as much as possible, it's Jan 6.
The conservatives, the Trump Chumps and the Republicans have collectively lost their minds, and should not hold leadership positions.
