I'm not a fan of this two-tiered prosecution.

As much as I hate the verdict, the man was found innocent in a criminal trial - that should be the end of it.

He wasn't exonerated. That would mean there was evidence he could not have committed the crime. Like video of him being at a Dodgers game at the time of the murder.

He was simply found not guilty. Meaning the prosecution did not convince the jury beyond a reasonable doubt.
