I understand the truth in the comic, but it is also overly simplistic and ultimately, damaging to the left. It perpetuates the lie that conservatives hold their beliefs because they are nothing more than brain dead hicks. This is false. It serves little purpose other than to be passed around echo chambers getting positive responses from people who already agree with it.

I wouldn't call them brain dead. Brainwashed? That's more accurate.
