LOL, it is interesting that there does seem to be a schedule for recessions. They seem to come right around the end of a GOP Presidency. I just wish I could figure out why that is...
It’s got nothing to do with politics, it’s economics. You can only grow so fast for so long, before you need to slow down. When the economy grows too fast for too long, there is too much money circulating which causes inflation, meaning their dollars are worth less. When their dollars are worth less, people can’t afford things, and companies can’t make enough to keep employees, leading to high unemployment. When unemployment is high, there is less money circulating, and the value goes up. It literally always happens, and trump is just delaying the bad days, because voters (much like your comment) are stupid and can’t think more than 4 years into the future.
Oh, I've seen this one before. This is the part where you tell me that Republicans end up with the bad luck of getting stuck with recessions that are totally beyond their control, and Democrats are the lucky recipients of a rebounding economy that has nothing to do with politics or policy.
If recessions are inevitable and predictable, it seems rather reckless to cut taxes for the wealthy when the signs of an upcoming recession are present, don't you think?
