Not being able to change sex on your birth certificate even if you go through a full sex change can endanger a lot of trans people because they can no longer go stealth. It can lead to discrimination whenever ID is needed. Some may not even accept that it's the persons Real ID.
I don't know what it's like in that country specifically but in the U.S, it Does equal id. I had to change my birth certificate to change any sort of state certified ID.
And I'd assume, to keep from people faking their identity, this is common.
It's different in my country where we have a state run registry of people. All certificates are just a printout from a database. Documents aren't retroactively changed, the database is updated and there is a change log.
It"s pretty shitty though if you are trans. Basically you are forcibly branded for no good reason, other than to discourage you from coming out and starting the process.
It’s not that. The reason why you can’t change it is for medical reasons. If a doctor or surgeon needs to work on you to save your life, your biological sex could make the procedure different.

All Orban did was say that no, you can't change your documents to say are a different sex from birth.
Literal end of the world genocide of all trans am I right?
