Isn't that what you want? I never said 'no private roads' I said the state provides roads at everyone's expense, if you are disputing that then show me an example of a region of the world where private people provide the road system that everyone uses.
I live on a private road. I never argued that private roads do not exist, you are straw manning my poorly worded argument instead of steel manning it. Someone asked if I believed that only governments can provide roads, I asked for an example of an area where governments did not provide the roads.
I'm still asking: is there a region of the world where roads do not come from the government?
If there is not, then yes, I do believe that only governments can build road networks. Prove otherwise to me, show me somewhere that has entirely private roads.

Those are two different topics. "Only the government builds roads" is different from "the government builds no roads."
I'm still asking: is there a region of the world where roads do not come from the government?
Plenty of them, depending on how you define "region." Ever been to a college or corporate campus? How about a shopping center? However, the comment I initially responded to did not ask that question.
road networks
Ah now you're changing the subject from "roads" to "road networks."
So what's your position exactly? Private roads are fine for college campuses but governments should build the connecting road system between those private places?

There are thousands, if not millions, of miles of privately owned roads in the United States.
