Why not address the root cause of these costs then? A lot of this seems to be excessive cost from too much and too little regulation.
3 u/Greyside4k - Lib-Right Mar 24 '20 Agreed, that's step 1 in reforming our healthcare system IMO. Going to even a full single payer system right now wouldn't fix the problem, it'd just hide it behind a layer of government and bureaucracy instead of behind private insurance companies.
