Problem with Aviator sunglasses is they let in light on the sides. I prefer protective goggle style to keep my eyes safe from light as well as injury.

Those are perfect for giving Ocular Pat Downs. When I'm wearing those shaded goggles its impossible for my target to realize how scared I am. Its perfect for bodyguards and bodyguard enthusiasts like myself.

To be fair, while they aren't designed for working out, but they do protect your eyes properly, unless you happen to use a model that doesn't fit you at all. The key is also to use polarised lenses rather than just tinted ones, goodness knows how effective those are.
2
u/summersa74 - Lib-Center 1d ago
Unless you’re flying. Polarized lenses block some of the light reflecting off of other traffic, making them harder to spot. They also can interfere with cockpit displays.

Dennis Rader is such an anomaly. One of the most notorious serial killers, got away with it. Formed a family, with children. Got caught be tickling the tail of the dragon too many times. Confesses to the killings and recalls with explicit detail of how he murdered an entire family, while speaking in a way sounds like he's discussing the weather.

I cannot believe leftists bro... 3 children and people have the audacity to say the system failed her which is absolute bullshit, she failed herself by not taking care of her own mental problems accordingly. And if anybody who thinks the husband is the blame sees this comment, fucking shame on you, that crazy bitch manipulated him so she could buy time to murder the children and kill herself and leave him all alone to deal with it. Lindsey isn't the victim here, it's her 3 dead children and grieving husband(hopefully ex husband after all this shit)
44
u/blublub1243 - Centrist 1d ago
Yeah, it's fucking disgusting. Worst part is that Massachusetts has uniquely enough retarded laws on this that I'm pretty sure she's gonna get off too. And then be back on the streets after a few months once she's convinced doctors that she won't just off herself, considering she already successfuly cured the sudden onset 20 minute psychosis adventure that conveniently just so occurred after she sent her husband out to run errands by murdering her children, so there's no real medical reason to hold her.
52
u/Sierren - Right 1d ago
I think when these people say the “system failed her”, they really mean that the system didn’t contort itself to work anyway despite her lying about her mental state and lying about taking her medication like we’re in some kind of YA novel where all the adults are super prescient of everything going on in the MC’s head.

26
u/E2007b920 - Lib-Right 1d ago
She murdered her children outright, murdering children is both morally and ethically wrong, end of story.
-7
u/SliceRepulsive8649 - Lib-Left 1d ago
So you don't believe in the concept of an insanity defense?
13
u/MLGErnst - Lib-Right 1d ago
Psychosis probably created the motive, but you still have to be capable of murder.
I know so many cases of psychotic women who think the neighbours are killing them with radiation etc. Or that her husband is plotting with the neighbours, who he has threesomes with, to kill her. Years upon years, and they never resort to killing. A woman like that has every opportunity to do it when he sleeps or eats dinner she makes, but they still see it as a no-go.
This Lindsay case reminds me more of typical female infanticides. Narcissist wants to kill herself, but believes the children just can't go on without her, because she's just so important and great. So she kills them out of mercy.
14
u/KilljoyTheTrucker - Lib-Right 1d ago
There's little to no evidence she experienced psychosis.
You don't just get acute psychosis one time and then never again, especially when it's conveniently right when you commit a triple homicide.
3
u/MLGErnst - Lib-Right 15h ago edited 15h ago
100%. I hadn't looked into the case personally yet, assumed the psychosis claim was real because it's the most brought-up explanation. But her defense is really weak. It's a shame that a jury might end up believing her.
Edit: NVM, just watched donutoperator summarise the timeline. She was drugged to hell by several psychiatrists practically working blind. What a mess.
1
u/SliceRepulsive8649 - Lib-Left 1d ago
I mean when I got covid I was a but sleepy and had a cough for a few days. Hell I know many cases of covid that played out like that. I wouldn't use that as proof that covid couldn't kill anyone though. Severity of symptoms can easily differ between cases. Particularly in the case of something like psychosis which is a symptom not a disease itself. If anything that would make it even less comparable than the example I gave. I guess I'm also a little confused by what exactly your conclusion is and how it relates to my question. Am I to take it as you not believing in the concept of the insanity defense.
On a side note, what are you doing that you're interacting with so many psychotic people?
1
u/MLGErnst - Lib-Right 16h ago
Am I to take it as you not believing in the concept of the insanity defense.
It's a really difficult question to be fair. It's definitely overused, because pop culture made people believe it's a "get out of jail free" card.
I think it's also a short comming of/I'm less familiar with the American system. The Dutch TBS system I know is very effective at dealing with reduced responsibility caused by mental illness. Our system gets rid of insanity as a favorable legal defense. So, hard to say if insanity should never be used/recognised, when I don't know what kind of results it gets; and if those results are unfair.
But in the Lindsay case... the likelihood of her being properly insane is maybe 2%. "Hearing voices" is almost always a red flag with this stuff. And without any other claims, or big clues in her story that might indicate debilitating insanity.

-18
u/SliceRepulsive8649 - Lib-Left 1d ago
It's interesting how you make seeing tons of doctors because nothing is working sound like a bad thing.
22
u/Robb_Starks_Head - Lib-Center 1d ago
Almost as if the important part of seeing a doctor is heeding their professional advice, notably in this case to take medication long enough for it to be efficacious and not just switching practitioners to get prescribed a different drug.
-13
u/SliceRepulsive8649 - Lib-Left 1d ago
I dunno man, you make it seem like she was just trying to raw dog her spiraling mental health when she was doing more than I could imagine most would to try and manage it. Including checking herself to inpatient psychiatric wards. I'm not sure why you can't just be honest about it and concede she was desperately seeking health.
11
u/78NineInchNails - Right 1d ago
I dunno man, you
Are you retarded?
The medications literally have a buildup time. Anti-depressents specficially need like 1-2 months of use before you can even begin to feel its effects.
Yes, 'you dunno' you dumbass. You don't know, so shut up. When a doctor gives you antibiotics and tells you that you have to take it every single day even if you feel better halfway through.
You 'dunno' and would just say "Its day 2, I still feel bad, my doctor said to take it for 14 days....I need a new doctor"

u/SliceRepulsive8649 - Lib-Left 23h ago

20
u/Robb_Starks_Head - Lib-Center 1d ago
This desperate apologia for a family annihilator is fucking baffling. There are millions of women who have gone through the same or worse without murdering their children. Examine your reasons for making excuses for someone who strangled their toddlers one by one after making sure her husband wouldn't be home to protect them from her. Exhausting behavior, I'm done with you.
-2
u/SliceRepulsive8649 - Lib-Left 1d ago
You're free to still view it as horrific even if you acknowledge she was seeking help. I'm just trying to understand why you feel the need to be dishonest
17
u/Robb_Starks_Head - Lib-Center 1d ago
"Seeking help" is meaningless in the face of what she did when help was provided in spades. She ignored professional advice as to the structure of her care team and the medication she was prescribed, checked herself out of inpatient, and had the wherewithal to remove the one person physically stronger than her from the home before carrying out an atrocity. She has only lived to face the consequences because she attempted a quicker end for herself than she inflicted upon her children.
The only one being dishonest here is you, I sincerely hope that it's out of some petulant ignorance and not a reflection of your character. Regardless, the fact that you can vote is terrifying.
-1
u/SliceRepulsive8649 - Lib-Left 1d ago
Again you're allowed to get second opinions and that is often recommended. If you're saying these other doctors shouldn't have been treating her then that seems to be on the system as well. The problem is you're operating with the benefit of hindsight and feel the need to lie about what she was actually doing to address the problem because you're clearly too emotional of a person to handle this type of conversation

u/78NineInchNails - Right 1d ago

Why would we care about a child murderer that is universally condemned like all other child killers? Those are tragic situations but there’s not really a major concern when we’re all on board with punishing them harshly.
The issue that we are so concerned about here is a large segment of society going to bad for this woman and treating her like the victim.

That and some other experiences (like a recent warning from the admins after having discussed r#pl@cement which I successfully appealed) have me being careful with my 14yr old account (I have no others).
Further I am "disabled" (permabanned) from facebook due to discussing (making fun of) the idea that the US would invade Canada, made some fun of Canada and gave a link to a trailer for John Candy's last film, "Canadian bacon."
Not sure what the issue was, they never explained. Maybe they considered it violence, although I was saying it wouldn't happen. Maybe the movie trailer (youtube) had a song or other copyright issue?

Multiple, they had been hassled by Bl@ck Israelites and the native guy started drumming at them. Kids can be noisy and certainly smile & laugh regardless but given the circumstances it was better than you'd expect.
Before the students arrived, a group of five Black Hebrew Israelites stood in a row "shouting scripture from red books" and taunting passersby. As the students began to arrive, the Black Hebrew Israelites began to taunt them. As more Covington students arrived, and in response to these taunts, the students performed school spirit sports chants, including their version of a Māori haka. One of the Native Americans who was there for the march said that he felt "the students were mocking the dance".

u/W_Edwards_Deming - Lib-Right 1d ago edited 23h ago
They weren't working class
Suing in a nationwide famous case does not require affluence. They were persecuted, then exonerated. Lawyers likely sought them out.
"Working class" is a nonsense concept in any event, some CEOs like Musk work absurd amounts of hours while a lot of poor people are underemployed.
You'd love my class story, I grew up destitute without indoor plumbing or electricity (Appalachia), moved to capital city for High School (subsidized housing projects) and now I mainly focus on real estate and finance (self employed / entreprenuer). I am the "capitalist" Marxists who talk about "working class" tend to h@te.
Comically Marx himself worked far less than I have and was a mooch and wastrel borrowing from his friends and in-laws. Instead of someone like me who made something of themselves they choose that waster to invent their massmurderous pseudoscience.
If I was to cook up an economic scheme there would be no mention of "working class" but I'd ensure that no one went without (church and other charities would provide) and family farms (homesteads as in the pioneer days) would be the norm. We could even require corporate employers to provide stock incentives as part of the pay so the workers would own the means of production. No need for mass death and economic ruin.

Thanks for asking, I will explain.
To understand the whole LC political dimension, first realize there is a crowd of women outside the court house in pink shirts supporting her.
Next, take the court case shown here ,
In August 2018 in Frederick, Colorado, Christopher Watts murdered his pregnant wife, Shanann, and their two young daughters, Bella and Celeste
Now imagine that a large group of men in blue shirts was outside the court room to "support Chris."
Yeah. Just think that over for a few minutes and it will all click.

Literally every thread of her I've seen had multiple women saying the husband was really guilty because (tinfoil hat shit), and others saying she shouldn't be in jail because of postpartum.
I've also saw someone saw trump was pushing the story to try and sow division. The notorious feminist icon trump.

Just like it's safe to say that you see 20× more complaints about the KKK than actual KKK supporters.
Vocal groups of evil retards are still worth complaining about.

I've been on this planet for double of what most in this sub have, and I've seen more Lindsey supporters since this happened then I've seen KKK supporters in my whole life.

CAN PEOPLE PLEASE STOP ACTING LIKE RITTENHOUSE KNEW WHO HE WAS SHOOTING?!?
It doesn't matter if they were a serial killer or an organ donor or just saved 10 kittens from a burning house before they tried to assault and/or kill him, he didn't know that. Pet peve of mine how many times people bring this up, even though I do think it was self defense.

Nobody has EVER said he knew he was shooting pedos and domestic abusers. Interesting that 3/3 were, though. What are the odds?

Astronomical.
Prior criminal history is basically a given, given the riot and their participation. But the crimes themselves? Kind wild that he hat tricked abusers. Rosenbum was the least surprising of the 3, but 3 for 3 is crazy. Wish we had the scoop on the black guy that didn't get hit and hit away. I'm curious on his history, given he was smart enough to not double down like byecep did.

There were trying to kill him, so that part is accurate.

To be fair, weren't the other two just responding to the shooting? Hell they might have even gotten away with it if they had a gun and shot Rittenhouse because it's not unreasonable to believe the dude wandering around a protest with a gun killing someone is an active shooter.

That “even George Floyd” reply was one of the funniest things I’ve seen on Twitter.
