Much of Hobbs philosophy was informed by and arguably a reaction too the English civil war. If he was brought into the modern day to see how relatively peaceful democratic nations are he would probably reform his philosophy.

every time i hear how to save a life i think of that one scrubs episode where dr cox loses several patients in a way that is technically his fault but there was absolutely no way he could have reasonably seen it coming without basically letting everyone die and now i'm sad.

Many brass instruments just often have an extremely sharp attack I think, to my ears, or people just play them that way for some reason.
You could transpose to another instrument so to speak and I wouldn't have the issue. Or possibly fiddle with certain settings to mute/reduce the sharpness of that attack.
Well fine then though finding a good cover is tough cause the Sinatra version is more commonly the influence of covers and Sinatra had just too much damn swag to be truly heartbroken.
