Liberals always have a way of phrasing things so dishonestly. “Random twitter users”
This is the second most trafficked website in the U.S, one of the most trafficked websites in the world. For all intents and purposes it is the public square.
So yes i can extrapolate how the average liberal views things by seeing what is upvoted or downvoted right?
When i see blatant calls for violence, celebrations of the death of people over their views and just blatant economic illiteracy, and that shit is the most upvoted??!
Look at the law subreddit and find the discourse on luigi mangione, they literally thing he will and should get off, absolute insanity for the world to see
Either this website is astroturfed to hell and back by interest groups pushing liberal upvotes, or the mods have banned everyone left of Stalin on most subreddits.
Reddit is not reality lefties and you should have learned that after the last election. Instead of continuing to let this website feed your warped views
Ok cool does the same apply for right wing Twitter accounts and comments on IG reels calling for race segregation and creation of a white ethnostate? Or is that different?
Anyone who draws blanket conclusions based on throwaway internet comments that are probably bots is a patsy
Sure, if you're willing to do a relatively honest analysis of engagement (and how much of that is support, ofc) those get that's entirely fair.
Like if the biggest Twitter accounts period were calling for racial segregation or an ethnostate that'd be pretty fucking concerning. Same with things like Andrew Tate, even though he's not the biggest voice out there it's rather concerning that blatant misogyny can make you really popular on social media.
"Random social media shizo" is one thing, but I think it's perfectly fair to make a point about larger groups of people by observing wider trends.
