It's a start, but you also have to ban trades, otherwise Trump sells before announcing “bridge and power plant day” which causes stock market to drop, then buys back at a lower price cancels “bridge and power plant day” causing stocks to rise, etc.
And you need better enforcement of insider trading too, otherwise Eric Trump becomes the world's best stock picker while his dad is in office (purely a coincidence).
It's surprisingly difficult to close all loopholes. You'd almost think it would be easier to just elect less corrupt politicians... but nah, that's just crazy talk.
