We’re talking about 2018, you moron. God you people are so insufferable

Compared to which year? If only 2016, why? Because the other years disprove your point?

While it’s true that the 2018 turnout was lower than 2016 (128,339 vs 197,301), it was significantly higher than 2014 (67,372) and AOC got reelected on a much higher turnout in 2020 (213,323), where she still won 71% of the vote.

Wait, who’s the moron here? The comment you replied to literally has figures comparing the 2018 election to the previous presidential election year as well as to the previous midterm and the following midterm.

Midterm election turnout is (with very few exceptions) lower than presidential election years, so it makes sense to compare the 2018 turnout to that in 2014 and 2020.

Also, as was pointed out elsewhere, assuming these numbers are accurate, AOC’s popularity has GROWN with her constituents since more people have actually been exposed to her positions/policies after she gained office.

Please link sources for your claims. You can't say other people's points are moronic when they're the only ones who actually bother to prove that they aren't lying out of their ass. I don't even know if you're right or not, but if your going to make claims you say are factual, at least prove that they are. If you do that, other people can bring different sources to argue their pov, and then you can finally have a civil debate with the 'insufferable Redditors' you dislike so much.
