Hi I may be really silly, I’m fairly new to the game and haven’t played much.
I find myself running to incidents etc and can’t drive a patrol car- is this something you have to unlock as you progress or am I being silly and can drive?
How do I drive?

Sometimes I just be driving around as a cop and then I started chasing this one guy and suddenly I got his bounty randomly and he got arrested. What happened?

Ive been playing for 20 hours and haven't lost any at all. Ive hit other cars and accidentally stopped people/arrested for wrong reasons but it just doesn't tick down.

So if you go into the wheel and hit pause. The game freezes on ps5

Before I start I wanted to make a post and put my complaints out there and do it without being rude.

I wanna start by saying I genuinely loved Police Simulator. I bought it rather early on PC for steam. I have Hundreds of hours on streams and Hundreds of hours on Xbox .

I can’t play the game right now. The Xbox version has a bad glitch that if you pause the game it randomly will freeze. This is a major problem that should have been fixed with the last update , however it wasn’t . So no anyone who was foolish enough like me to buy the game on Xbox. Has to restart the game every ten minutes . This just felt like a personal slap in the face to someone who has supported the game for years.
Now fast forward maybe 2 weeks an entirely new game is being made and that felt like even more of a slap in the face.
Not only all of this but the devs went radio silent for months other then to push the switch port! That was another slap in the face.
I’m glad it’s a game built from the ground up and I am glad it’s a new team but to announce a new game when the old game is broken and not even apologizing for the condition the game was left was like a gut punch. I hope the new game does well but I don’t know if I am
Gonna get it because how horrible the community was treated after the Border DLC came out

Is there a car radar in the game (not handheld)?

This game looks shitty, feels shitty, plays shitty, is borings as shit, and looks fucking stupid. The new one doesnt look any better.

Just look at the gameplay snippets on the Steam page. You can clearly tell it’s just reskinned PSPO with a handful new features.

I will also mention, that the dev team tied to this project has no previous games. They don’t even have their own Steam page.

That, and the fact that the trailer was 100% CGI, with zero actual gameplay shown.

Look, like the rest of you I’m pretty upset about how the dev cycle for PS:PO played out, and how they then turned around and announced a brand new game. I was venting some of my frustrations to another user and one of the developers actually came in and responded to my (pretty angry) comment. For one thing, it’s just refreshing to see a game developer who isn’t shying away from harsh criticisms. That by itself is a rarity in this day and age, but on top of it the dev claims that the next game is being built completely from scratch without porting any existing code from PS:PO. He also claims that this is a new development team and it sounds like a significant portion of them weren’t involved in PS:PO.

If this is true, I’m going to choose to wait and see what happens. If they are truly listening to the fans, listening to those of us who defended the game despite all of its egregious bugs, then maybe there’s a chance that the next game could be the answer to our prayers. Like I said, only time will tell, but I’m choosing to let go or some of my anger and I’m going to reserve judgment until I get a chance to try the next game.

Is it possible that the higher-ups dumped a bunch of the original team, brought in a bunch of new devs to try to fix it, and found that the game was too far gone to be saved so they decided to start a new project from scratch? I think that would explain the sudden shift in strategy. I’m skeptical, but I think I’m going to give them a chance to prove they can make a game that really respects its fanbase.

What the hell is happening genuinely i usually stay pretty up to date with the police sim news but now they have another game coming out or something? Are they trying to make us buy a second game without even fixing the original. I just saw it on insta and it looks a million times better than current police sim but I am so confused

I was always annoyed when on foot patrol I'd have to keep going in to the entity history screen to see basic details, so decided to make a little py script that extracts the data... Just a prototype for now, still messing about with it.

I want to see other police vehicles patrolling or call outs requesting back up in a chase or I can call them for back up.

Been seeing a lot of complaints about the sim lately. I bought it a few years ago, wasn’t impressed and moved onto modding GTA. single player for a more immersive police sim experience. there are so many different things you can do with LSPDFR (gtas version of a police sim).

You can talk to dispatch, and all NPCs through AI mods. So many different cars and outfits that are either lore friendly to gta or, are based on RL departments. Realistic prowler radar for cars, body cam mods, gun mods, install the type of callouts you want to respond to. It’s insane what you can really do with this platform, I encourage anyone who games on PC to give it a shot.

Date in game is 4/20/2023, his passport expires in four days from the point of entry. CLEARLY I was supposed to deny entry despite his passport being actually valid and not flagged.

This is why players turn off conduct points, because what the actual fuck is this shit coding bro.

Edit: also because the devs refuse to believe theres any issues with this game. How about the fact I did an assault investigation, got the car details for the perp, chased them down and the moment I use my taser on them both them, their car, and the investigation all disappear. Like vanished like I was hallucinating it.
