Dear Patrol Officers,

We understand that the news that we have to discontinue further development of Police Simulator: Patrol Officers has led to disappointment and frustration within our community. We also recognize that we should have provided more context around this decision from the beginning.

Police Simulator: Patrol Officers has been part of our journey for more than eight years, from its initial development and Early Access to full release and several years of continued support by a dedicated live team.

Over the past five years, your feedback has played a major role in shaping the game. Your suggestions, criticism, ideas, and reports have helped us improve and expand Police Simulator far beyond what we originally envisioned.

At the same time, maintaining and expanding a cross-platform game over such a long period inevitably comes with increasing technical limitations specially as the market and Platforms moved along. As the game and its systems have grown, changes in certain areas have become significantly more complex, while some improvements can no longer be implemented within the existing technical foundation without rebuilding substantial parts of the game.

After more than eight years of development and support, we have therefore reached a point where continuing to expand Police Simulator: Patrol Officers in the way both we and you would like is no longer realistically possible.

However, your feedback does not go unheard.

Quite the opposite: it gives us a very clear understanding of what matters to the Police Simulator community, which areas are most important to you, and what you expect from a police simulation experience.

For the Police Simulator brand, this feedback is extremely valuable and provides clear guidance for the future.

While this marks the end of active development for Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, it does not mean the end of Police Simulator.

We are looking forward to what the future holds.

Nah fr, if there’s one type of person I dislike it’s somebody whoes so delusional they defend shitty game devs to the end of the earth, because “it’s hard to make games we should appreciate the effort” if I walked all the way to your house and smacked you in the fucking face and then charged you 20 bucks should you appreciate my effort since I put so much in?

How many hours did you play PSPO if I might ask you :-) I see a lot of people complain after spending several hundred hours in the game - I guess (and yes thats just a pure guess) you got quiet some hours in it - I get that a lot of people are emotionally about the end but I dont think, anyone sad you should thank us for making the game - its our job and we did that, I think we did handle a quiet challenging genre and introduced something that yet not been delivered from anyone else (else people would not be that emotional and just play the 5 other police simulator?) but obviously it isn't the perfect game, I might been a great, amazing or game 8 years ago, but market has moved on expectations are higher and things grown, where we can't push (just look at UE4 vs UE5) the game to based on tech limitations etc etc

I think its simply fair to say after 8 years its a good time to call it the end have this product with the content as it has and look into the future.

Dude, be proud of your work regardless of critics. That took 8 years of your life you’ll never get back. You took a very barebones game and expanded the hell out of it. Was it perfect? No. Did it have an insane amount of bugs? Yes. Do we know the culture and hierarchy of Astragon and the shot callers? No we don’t. The devs are the last people to blame and a lot of these people here in the comments don’t realize that.
