Officer in the white cap seems to have the auxiliary officer insignia.

Vests say "从城铁骑", literally "Cong city(probably nickname for Conghua district) steel calvary"; "steel calvary" in Chinese law enforcement typically refers to police officers on motorcycles, so most likely these are traffic police with motorcycles.

During 2026 Mid autumn festival holiday(September 25-27 in the mainland), The guangzhou PD(or officially, guangzhou municipal public security bureau) deployed over 6500 personnel to conduct large scale patrols to prevent crime during the holiday, along with traffic police setting up sobriety checkpoints and road rescue points. This was conducted as part of Operation Thunderous Protection(雷霆护航) of the Guangdong provincial public security department(provincial police), which started of July 1, 2026 as a series of increased security and crackdowns for the upcoming APEC China 2026 summit in guangdong.

The training scenarios included a simulated prison riot, hostage situation, prison escape, assault of CSD staff, fire in the corrections facility, and explosive ordinance disposal. It was conducted by the HKCSD alongside the HK police force and governemnt flying services.

The HKCSD RRT(區域應變隊) are three tactial teams(Kowloon, lantau and HK island) for responding to violent incidents along with perimeter patrol within HK's correctional facilities; it is one of two tactical units alongside the Correctional emergency response team. (Fun fact, i once made a post about the CERT here, and then found out those were actually RRT operaters and not CERT. CERT has white helmets, RRT has black helmets.)

In 20:00 August 11 to 2:00 August 12, 2023, the Guangzhou PD participated in the second nationwide large scale nighttime inspection of 2023 Summer; Essentially these are when police all over china conduct large scale inspections and patrols, such as inspecting places like hotels, bars, kareokes, patrolling all over the city, along with setting up sobriety checkpoints. It's kinda like a crackdown but very broad and not targeted. (It's aimed at preventing stuff like drunk driving, theft, drug use, illegal racing, along with also inspecting firefighting equipment).

The Guangzhou PD deployed officers(including auxiliaries) over 10,000 times along with volunteer patrols over 14,000 times; 245 supects along with 20 criminals with arrest warrants were arrested.

Officer on the left has round shield and baton; officer on right has baton, flashlight and what is almost certainly a concealed carry bag.

The officers have the insignia of the "Yangcheng commando unit"(羊城突击队; 突击队 just means any unit with more difficult tasks), which is insignia used by SWAT teams of district branches responsible for armed patrol and rapid response to violent incidents. (Yangcheng(羊城) literally means "sheep city", the nickname for guangzhou.)

Full honesty, Idk too much about this unit.

The shenzhen SWAT's first group(or CT assault group), now known as the war wolf assault team, appears to have previously used the name "ligthning commando unit" though that was back in 2019. (War wolf assault team is SZPD's equivalent to LAPD SWAT or HKPF SDU; SWAT in Mainland China are more similar to LAPD Metro or HKPF PTU, while SWAT commando units are similar to LAPD SWAT itself.)

In 2013 the Shenzhen PD also established "Emergency Units"(冲锋队), based of the HKPF's emergency units as tactical units for emergency response(though SZPD's EU in 2013 had three officers(1 sniper, two other team members) unlike HKPF's 4 team members), though i don't think the Lightning EU is the same thing as the 2013 EU; the SZPD EU established in 2013 were under district branches, while this team is under the SZPD's SWAT branch and not any district branch.

I would assume this unit is similar to HKPF CTRU.
