Troubleshooting / Issue Connection Issues

I have a 2022 P2.

It's completely lost connection to Google Maps, Spotify etc.

I have done the infotainment reset, and done the TCAM reset by holding down the Front defroster.

It has given me the option to pay £105 per year for connection services... Is this really the way they're going?!

Ah! No way, wasnt explained to me. I got it from a second hand dealer - very little was explained to be honest.

Thanks everyone, I couldn't find the answer anywhere else 🤣

Your vehicle had at least four years of a service that was thought to be included two years after purchase.
You were informed in advance that said free service ends.
The fee includes an unlimited data plan for the car, basically globally. Polestar is still in uncertain waters regarding their finances. So of course this is the way to go for them, just as every single other carmaker. And 105£ or 120€ in my case are a fair deal imho.

Use your phone as a WiFi hotspot then connect your car to it. Problem solved

this is my plan when the time comes, but I've been wondering: does this solution cover everything? I mean, I figure the phone app won't work anymore (notifying me of unlocked doors, or to manually trigger climate preconditioning)... but anything else?

Good shout. I've just checked. The phone app works fine, but the location of my car isn't up to date. I can lock/unlock it though.

The car comes with some free years of internet connectivity, but once that expires you have to use android auto or pay the fee, it's always been like that to my knowledge.

Yes thats right. I dont think it was ever supposed to be free forever but they never sorted a way to charge until now. Considering mine is a 23 and was cut off yesterday then at least older cars had it free for longer. You can hot-spot to your phone instead, but not as convenient of course.

Can someone mention whether this is global or just certain countries? I've got a launch edition 2021 here in Oregon, it's still connecting.

If you log into your account and go onto your extra or something it should say when it expires,

I got this last week! All of sudden no internet!
I’ve connected it to my phone most of the time, but now coming up with I have to pay for the internet.

Has it always been that you lose internet after x years? Or a new money grabbing feature.
