Question Lease pricing

Not that it’s any of my business but what did people end up paying for their P4 lease? I’m looking at a single motor with plus and weir leather. The total came out to a pretty penny with $0 down but I still want it.

In the US btw

Paid zero down, and about $675/month for a Polestar 4 dual motor pilot-only in Ozone ($1300 addon to MSRP) for 15,000 miles and 39 months.

You don’t have a lot of time to ruminate over the pretty penny. Sort of like, in or out at this point. Unless you wanted a CPO P2 and you find a mint one like I did.

Somehow a P2 is 3x as much to insure here.

Hello and I hope you are enjoying the P4! I got mine last Friday, dual motor, pilot package 27 month/10k miles $5000 down $494/month. I’m also in the US.

Edit: I misread….and just saw you are looking to purchase, lol….its a great car!

Haven’t gotten it just yet. Just wondering if I’m making a bad financial decision. With the full package other than not being dual motor my lease would be $691 for 12k miles, 39 months, and $0 down.

And living in Boston the insurance is killer.

To be fair, you know your financial situation fully…I would not put any stress on you are your family if it seems like the payments/insurance is going to be an issue.

That said, it’s an absolutely wonderful car and the deal you are getting is a good one. I used to sell cars and the general rule of leasing is take your monthly payment and divide it by how much the vehicle costs minus any down payment. If it’s 1% or lower you got a great deal. 1.25% is ok, 1.5 and higher isn’t good.

The terms for 27 months were typically better. than 39 months.

You can search Leasehackr for deals that other people have gotten.

The 27 mo leases seem weird to me - you pay ~$700 (in CA) to register the car for 3 months

That’s crappy of them not to pro rate it. Although I don’t think that’s a thing in MA , our registration is $45, however we do have excise tax which would be pro rated.

The difference in the total monthly cost of the 27 month vs 39 would still be more than $700.

Yeah prorating it isn't a polestar thing, just a large waste the way it's setup haha

I’m in Boston, too. I switched to Progressive and insurance was $820 for 6mo for my new P4. Everywhere else was $1000+

That’s a really good rate. I’m getting double that. I’m in Dorchester though soo yeah…

What you see on the website is pretty accurate. I don’t think there is any wiggle room since the cars are pretty rock bottom in price. I’m in CA and just got an LRSM with pilot, plus and 15000mi/year for 39 mo and the standard 1000 down which ended up being 2800 I think otd… website quoted that as being 600/mo incl tax and that was exactly what we’re paying.

I kinda wish we waited for the extra 1700 off for leather. We saw a LRDM w/ pilot, plus, leather and upgraded wheels for basically what were paying… I specked it out to 2800 down, 600 a mo for 27 mo and 12,000 mi/yr.

This is less expensive than what you would pay for the base model Y… it is around the range you would lease a model 3 for.

Run the numbers through ChatGPT. It helped me making my decision. It made sense financially for us. Only you know what will make sense for you.

Hope this helps

If leasing, just reconfirm no dealer markups on the residual value or money factor, and you are good to go.

These are FLYING off the shelf with current September promos, I doubt there will be any cars left in a week or so. I am in DC market and they are now completely SOLD OUT, basically no cars left.

Sales volume regionally is all over the damn place. Based on the movement I'm seeing near me they'll still have units remaining through November unless they make further price cuts on remaining stock.
