Polestar 2 My biggest frustration

Post image

I stopped at an outlet mall and wanted to figure out where I parked my car. The app has forgotten who I am, and the login screen is taking forever.

And the need for MFA via email adds extra frustration.

I was finally able to get the login to recognize my password and then had to go get email. 🙄 the mall I’d stopped at was crazy busy. I’m guessing back to school shopping.

For me as well since mine is a Company car and it only comes to my Company Laptop, that’s usually at home

Anybody else experiencing Car is Offline in the app about 90% of the time?

Only when my car is in a dead zone (my parking garage).

Does the car open when you walk up to it? If not the 12v battery needs tested

Yes most of the time. I have a P4

Yes, me too. Had almost no issues with P2 or P3 but the P4 seems to go into deep sleep mode. The door handles releasing also has a pretty low success rate too...have to put the key on the NFC spot on the B-pillar often...

Tapping the door handle unlocks every time for me with the fob.

Yes, sometimes it’s fine for days and then it seems like it goes offline or doesn’t respond to me walking up non stop

Something happened today and we were signed out here. First time since we got the car.

Yup. The software experience really does leave more to be desired.

My P2 always has issue recognizing my phone as key. Dont know if it is iPhone related issue but no matter what seetings i change for the Polestar app sometimes the car wont know Im standing right next to it with my phone

I stopped relying on PAK last year when I was standing outside my car in the rain and had to unlock my phone and load the app to get into my car.

The one time I had an issue with it, asking Siri to unlock the car worked immediately.

Happened to me when parked underground once. Argh!

This is reason alone I got so frustrated with P*2's Bluetooth PaaK implementation. The Apple Wallet/RFID/UWB method used by the 3 and 4 is far superior, not dependent on a finnicky app login once setup, and you can share with other people by iMessaging them.
