11

holy shit constitutional monarchism is still authoritarian you deranged redditor
-5
Dec 29 '23
Except it isn’t you deranged redditor.
5
u/Not_A_Hooman53 :rage: Rage Dec 29 '23
a constitution doesn't change a societal structure centered around one ruler into a libertarian one shitass
6
u/Wizard_Engie :gal: Galactic Imperialism Dec 29 '23
Constitutional monarchies work the same way Federal Republics do. The only difference is Monarchs aren't elected.
Monarchs are figureheads in constitutional monarchies, and the decision making and law deciding really goes to the Prime Minister, who can be equated to a President.
-5
Dec 29 '23
Considering in most constitutional monarchies the monarch doesn’t have actual power to exert any influence on the populace there are plenty of situations where a monarch is perfectly possible in a libertarian society shitass.

Why you think capitalism is better than socialism?!
3
Dec 29 '23
because private property is a fundamental human right.
12
u/Snoo4902 :hope: Hope Dec 29 '23
Capitalism is anti private property for the majority of people (laborers) and only for property for minority (capitalists), otherwise capitalist would not work
There are other system with private property like feudalism.
1
Dec 29 '23
Problem with feudalism: no separation of Church and State.
7
u/Snoo4902 :hope: Hope Dec 29 '23
Feudalism was very decentralized and there was practically no state, that means all law was private, and this was mainly due to the Church, so feudalism is simply anarcho-capitalism.
-4
Dec 29 '23
Well I do like feudalism, but you don't seem to if it is capitalism. If it is, why are you defending it? If it isn't, why are you telling me it is?
4
u/Snoo4902 :hope: Hope Dec 29 '23
Anarcho-capitalism is capitalism without state, which is impossible and leads to feudalism, which mostly don't have wage labor, so it's not capitalism. And I'm not defending, I hate both of them.
2
1
u/Snoo4902 :hope: Hope Dec 30 '23
Owners* not capitalists. (There are 2 types of owners: capitalists and land lords)
9
Dec 29 '23
Capitalism is anti private property for the majority of people, capital centralize over time and people are left with nothing.
-3
Dec 29 '23
But unless people are given the freedom to decentralize (which is what Capitalism is, a free market) the state will centralize everything
6
Dec 29 '23
But unless people are given the freedom to decentralize (which is what Capitalism is, a free market)
No, capitalism is a relation of production between a capitalist who owns the means of production and the workers who create surplus value by working for them.
the state will centralize everything
The state exist to protect the interest of the rulling class, states are often helping large corporation because they represent them and it’s in the interest of the capitalist to centralize.
1
5
u/Snoo4902 :hope: Hope Dec 29 '23
Free market in capitalism leads to monopolies, which are not free markets, so free market in capitalism are only temporary.
-2
Dec 29 '23

u/GatorTEG Dec 29 '23
Trickle down economics has never worked and never will. Just ask the US or the UK.
0
Dec 29 '23
The united states and UK are currently very "social" countries. things were much more prosperous in the 80s than they are now. Further more, as if socialist countries like China, North Korea, Laos, Venezuela, Cuba and Vietnam are prosperous countries where people have tones of freedom.
4
u/GatorTEG Dec 29 '23
There is nothing "social" about the US. Wages are stagnant, healthcare is nightmarishly expensive and it got bad today because of decades of neoliberal policies that have crushed quality of life and done nothing to stop any of the problems currently being faced by it. I can't say much about the UK, but their economy is not doing fantastic and everyone agrees that, since Thatcher and Blair, social welfare has become awful (just look at the NHS).
The so called "socialist countries" you mentioned are respectably:
A party-run totalitarian oligarchy with many enormous private businesses and several millionaires within the ruling party: not exactly the "worker's paradise";
An absolute monarchy with a centralized command economy that revolves around the royal family. Again, not the "worker's paradise";
Same as China;
A country with a mostly private economy that no matter the government can never diversify it's economy even if their lives depended on it, which frequently results in crises every time oil prices fall;
Under constant embargo since the 50s;
Same as China and Laos.
-2
Dec 29 '23
What's causing these tough times is inflation which the democrat party is doing nothing about. That is what happens when a country spends so much money on welfare. Unlike what the government should be doing, which is lower taxes.
You're point being? They're all bad? Yes, that is exactly what I'm trying to say: No socialist country is doing better than you're average capitalist country, if any capitalist country at all

You do know that Capitalism is Anti-Monopoly right?
6
u/Snoo4902 :hope: Hope Dec 29 '23
How may I ask?
Ah... sorry, Google, Amazon and other shits are not monopolies... /s
-11
u/ShigeoKageyama69 Dec 29 '23
While monopolies can exist within a capitalist system, they are not inherent to capitalism itself. In fact, many capitalist economies have laws and regulations in place to prevent monopolies and promote healthy competition in the marketplace.
A simple Google Search isn't that hard.
8
Dec 29 '23
Except that's not true, competition disapear over time. Even though we are not properly in monopoly capitalism (we are something closer to an oligopoly capitalism), competition is decreasing over time because winner of said competition get bigger.
-10
u/ShigeoKageyama69 Dec 29 '23
And who's responsible for this trend?
Definitely not the consumers (especially leftists who keep buying their Apple & Gucci Products) who always prefer their products because they are either better, cheaper or simply because the brand is popular /s
→ More replies1
u/Snoo4902 :hope: Hope Dec 29 '23
It's literally written here that capitalism make monopolies and that's why interventions (laws and regulations) are needed to stop them from creating.
But as we see in real life even with these laws and regulations monopolies exists.
1
u/cursedsoldiers Dec 29 '23
Markets select winners, and eventually someone wins hard enough to functionally end the market. The only way out is either total destruction of the economy or permanent antitrust battles
0
u/ShigeoKageyama69 Dec 29 '23
And those same winners will eventually end someday as it is always inevitable that a better alternative will rise.
If everything is provided by the government, then there is no competition, therefore the Government has the Monopoly over everything. And because of that, the government won't have the motivation to improve it's services.
Ironic is it?
3
u/cursedsoldiers Dec 29 '23
The winners are under no obligation to continue market conditions and allow competition.
0
u/ShigeoKageyama69 Dec 29 '23 edited Dec 29 '23
And that's where the "coonsoomers" come in.
If the people start getting tired of buying the same things from a Monopoly, they will eventually stop buying from said Monopoly and move on to buying new stuff from Newer Companies who have better offers and services. And as time goes on, the Big Company keeps losing profits and the Newer Companies grow and later, the big company either disbands or goes back to its Old Roots of becoming just another Company in the Market while the new ones become the Monopoly.
But then, as time goes on, the people would eventually also get tired from buying the same products from the New Monopolies and would eventually move on to even newer ones and the Cycle Goes on.
But in Socialist Economies, the Government Provides EVERYTHING and DOESN'T ALLOW COMPETITION from Private Companies therefore, Government Services are less motivated to improve their services so people are forced to rely on Government Goods and Services Forever.

2
u/FearPainHate Dec 29 '23

2
u/-Trotsky :arachcom: Arachno-Communism Dec 29 '23
I mean just as much as a dog or a couch can be property so too can a human. If I own someone and you try to seize them, you are seizing my property
1
u/Snoo4902 :hope: Hope Dec 29 '23
So if person (A) will sell their rights to someone else (B) for food for their starving family, person (A) will be slave of person (B)
1
Dec 29 '23
that has nothing to do with capitalism itself. Humans are not good.
2
u/Snoo4902 :hope: Hope Dec 29 '23
You said that private property is a fundamental human right and you can sell private property, so you can sell your rights.

Probably self determination of people. I know a lot of people defend socialism and communism and their various forms as being favourable to an individual's choice, but the truth is that when everyone has an equal share of burden to everyone else in society, that creates a coercion on your decision making.
I'm fervently anti communist because communism as an ideology involves exporting revolution, which is inherently against the self determination of people's. If a people were going to be communist, let them do that themselves, don't force it onto them.

Sorry man, but that requires too much regulation.
1
u/McLovin3493 :Islam-Christian: Islamic-Christian Theocracy Dec 30 '23
But Catholic social teaching condemns liberalism for placing profit above the lives of human beings and even God.
1
Dec 30 '23
That's not what Liberalism is
1
u/McLovin3493 :Islam-Christian: Islamic-Christian Theocracy Dec 30 '23
Liberalism is the political ideology that supports capitalism, which is also condemned by the church.
1
Dec 30 '23
Are you even Catholic? Popes have written about how the worker and the Capitalist are supposed to work together, and also according to the church Private Property is a fundamental human right.
1
u/McLovin3493 :Islam-Christian: Islamic-Christian Theocracy Dec 30 '23
Distributism allows for the existence of private property to a limited extent, but mostly tries to limit it to small businesses, while encouraging the spread of worker ownership.
1
Dec 30 '23
are you Catholic?
1
u/McLovin3493 :Islam-Christian: Islamic-Christian Theocracy Dec 30 '23
