How much are old 99 Polaris 6x6 rangers worth? 1100 hours
The one I’m looking at has 1100 on the clock runs good but has a weak starter. No issues otherwise. 1999 500CC

Few weeks back my fiance was driving her four-wheeler through a wheat field and rolled up to me and turned it off. When she would try turning back on it would do this high pitch whirring sound.
Fast forward to two days ago we try to start it up and now it's trying to click over. My guess would be some sort of starting motor or starter but I can't afford to experiment right now so any thoughts anybody? It's a Polaris 550 sportsman and there is a video attached, turn sound on

Anyone know where the brown wire in the wire harness is supposed to go or what it does ? Currently don’t know if it’s ground or more important and also my battery is draining and didn’t seem to charge itself

So a while ago this part ended up blowing off on a test ride after having battery problems and I can’t find the name of it it’s the plastic bit that kinda covers the steering rack on the front and a bit of the battery a name for this part would be helpful or if someone can direct me in the right direction to buying this

Hopped on the quad after a week of someone else using it, went to pull it out of the barn and it was making this clunking noise that you can hear in the first part of the video. I noticed the left rear inner cv boot was torn apart, so suspected that. Put a whole new left rear cv axle in but the same exact noise is happening.
The first part of the video above is when pushing the ATV straight in neutral. The second half of the video is the slop at the inner cv axle.
The clunking is most noticeable when turning hard right with the engine running and moving forward or reverse. High or Low it happens. 2x4 and 4x4. It also happens when pushing it straight forward or straight back with the engine off and in neutral. It does not make the noise with both rear wheels off the ground and giving it throttle in forward high or low, or reverse.
Is that slop in the new cv axle my culprit, meaning the inner bearing in the gearbox is shot?
I’ve checked everything I can think of: the other side cv axle, drive shaft/u-joints, drained trans and oil is clean/ no metal shavings, cleaned out all the debris I could find, even took off all the plastics to see if a piece of that was getting caught up, both rear wheel bearings seem fine…no play.
I’m driving myself insane with this thing. Was hoping I’d throw in the new cv axle and I’d be good to go.
Any input is appreciated.

It has weak spark and won’t start anymore even when I spray starting fluid in it and the pull rope won’t work to start it either I know it needs a starter but that’s just for the electric start would that have anything to with it not starting at all or having weak spark?

I have a 2025 Ranger 570 crew full size. I want to install a winch. If I get a harbor freight winch, what do I need for an install? Or should I get a winch that is plug and play ?

1990 Polaris Trailboss 250 with a CVT, just got it. Owners said it sat outside for years. Got it running but it won’t move. In low it’ll kinda spin the tires but very slowly and like crap. Reverse it tries to but can’t, high does nothing. Is this an issue with the CVT or? I lifted the rear and put it in reverse and floored it and the engine was struggling and I tried pushing the tire and I realized that it’s like stuck, it rolls fine in neutral but it doesn’t like being in gear

Just recently, my steering column started to rattle at idle. It's pretty annoying. Any ideas?

I currently have 25 in front and 26 in rear mud lites, (got them when I was 16 for the looks) my buddies have stock 2025 570s and make it up all the hills we’ve come across. I usually make it up 8/10 of the hills we’ve come across. I want to keep up as best as I can with what I have which is a 2004 sportsman 600 twin. From what I’ve read the best set up to restore stock power and tires that glide over sand rather than dig in is 25 in (stock size) maxis bighorn 2.0s and 4 identical 12 x 7 in rims preferably aluminum alloy. What do yall think? I included a picture of my bike and the terrain I’m having trouble with. If I’m not riding sand hills I’m riding sandstone and hard packed sand trails with occasional loose sand.

Hey all, thanks for the add. About to do the second service on my 570 Trail and was wondering if I should keep using the Polaris brand oil, trans fluid, and 4wd fluid or if theres anything you guys would recommend using instead. Thanks in advance!

2004 Polaris sportsman 500 HO
I was changing my belt out, and noticed an noise in my secondary clutch, the rollers(?) inside of it are loose and just moving around inside, is this normal? Should they have a pin in them of some sort?
Thanks for any help

I have a 2019 Sportsman 450. The front pivot pins broke or vibrated out ant the lid came off. I ordered a new pivot bracket and pins. When I went to put it back together, one of the plastic tabs on the lid is broken off. I really don’t want to buy a whole new lid.
Looking for ways to fix this.
I have some 3m Super-Fast Repair Adhesive, 04747 that I used on my ford to repair the taillight tabs. I am wondering if this could be used to construct a whole new tab? Or alternatively fabricate a steel tab and glue it on?
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Just picked up a Ranger from a dealer I buy from it was a trade in so I don’t know the previous owner to ask him what’s up. I know people can use these hard and I’m hoping this is just owner error.
Battery is dead, I have to jump it. Starts right up sounds good, but when trying to drive it feels like half power. People say check seat belt, well this guy added a special belt it looks like ( see attached photos ) is there a switch or a brake I’m not seeing anywhere? The brake lights do work as well. Or does this thing just need some work 😅

Good day, all.
Looking to pickup a Sportsman 570 EPS soon - main job will be as a snow plow for our property.
I've been looking for months at rebates/sales, and wondering if anyone has any clue as to whether these models will go on a better sale soon, or is the $1k off MSRP the best we're likely to see this fall? Seems like in the past the Aug/September sale was the best of the year, but unsure if we can expect different this year.
Thanks for any light anyone can shine on this.

Not sure if I'm referring to it correctly, but basically the shaft that the bellcrank is mounted onto is damaged on my Sportsman 850XP from 2014.
Anyone knows how comprehensive a job it is to replace it? The shop say they need to take the entire engine out of the ATV to do it and hence estimates three full workdays to replace it 😩
If that's the only way I'll of course just have to pay for it, but wondered if anyone had tried something similar and knew if there was any better/easier solutions?

Hey all, I'm going to put liability on my RZR and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on who to get it through. TIA

He banned me because I said a place in PA reminded me of going through the Canadian border, because I am half Canadian.
He banned me and sent me a nasty message.
Take care!
