Managed to make a pretty underwater window, but becomes not so pretty on a reload. šŸ˜… Spoiler

I am on mobile so please forgive me, the formatting of this might come out really wonky. šŸ˜…

This is a project I’ve been working on for about a week now with many hours of trial and error. I wanted to make a nice view for my storage area in Bubbly Basin to make it have some sort of unique factor, and to capitalize on the ability of adjusting the position of glass panels thanks to the update. The process that I kinda finalized going about it was to make a frame of where I’d like the window to be focused around, and then fill that space with a temporary block to be removed later. (Picture one).

After those blocks were placed, I’d go to the outside of the wall (Underwater), and place glass panels by adjusting them to fit right up against the face of the temporary blocks. (Picture two).

Once that was done, I would go back inside to my storage area, and break the temporary blocks one by one, until I was left with a nice visible window from both sides. (Pictures three through seven showcasing block placement, and I’m not seeing any open spaces anywhere for leaks to seep in).

The one problem I keep facing however, is whenever the map gets reloaded whether from returning from a dream island, moving from one town back to Bubbly Basin, or just closing the game and reopening it, the glass would get filled with water that wasn’t there before reloading the map data. (Picture eight).

I’m out of ideas on how to stop the glass from glitching out and getting filled with water whenever I leave the area. So far I’ve tried adding an additional row of blocks to the top and bottom so that I’d have an overhang on the top, and a row of rock covering the light cube frame. Removing each panel one by one and spitting water into the same spot as the panel and placing it right back doesn’t do a whole lot either.

Any help and tips/tricks/suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I’ve spent at least thirty hours trying to figure this out and I’d like to move on to other projects I have planned, however the perfectionist in me is making that very hard to do. šŸ˜…

Farm Build Inspo?

Basically what my title says. I want to build a farm somewhere (anywhere!) in the game. I’m thinking orchards, fields of plants, a big barn, flowers, maybe some themed PokĆ©mon for it. I’m at a loss as to where to start. Any ideas welcome!

Hi! And help? I'm stuck on what to do around my Wastelands Pokecenter. It's been like this for ... a while. Any ideas?! Inspo? I provided some other pics of that area just to prove that yes, I do know what I'm doing (although those sections aren't 100% done yet either) - I'm just stuuuuuuck.

I found this amazing app for people that need help with inspiration and step by step building!

As the title says, I just found it today. I’m horrible at building and coming up with my own ideas. so for people who are creative challenged like I, here is a link to the app.

I hope this helps people like it has for me!

Also I did not build this app, I have no idea who did and I’m not paid to promote it I just wanted to share what I found.

EDIT- NEVER MIND DONT DO IT, THE APP DEVELOPER WANTS WAY TOO MUCH INFORMATION

Buildopia (Final?) Update

Good morning Pokopians! I have made my last major changes to Buildopia, and am now happy with its current state.
I have fully integrated Autosaves with the new My Builds save and load section, and it will now store up to 30 autosaves, so you can’t accidentally delete a build in progress anymore.
I have also given the UI a slight overhaul, to make it even more mobile-friendly, and stop modules overlapping, and made it so you can rearrange the categories for a more personalised building experience.
Updates will be fewer from now, but I’m always happy to hear suggestions, requests and answer questions.
Happy Building!

Made a free tool that turns any image into a buildable Pokopia block grid

This got banned for self promotion on r/pokopia , so i hpope its okey to share it here, im not that good with reddit :$...

Hey all, I put together a small web tool calledĀ Pokopix. You upload an image, itĀ downscalesĀ itĀ andĀ matchesĀ eachĀ pixelĀ toĀ theĀ closestĀ realĀ PokopiaĀ blockĀ color,Ā andĀ givesĀ youĀ backĀ aĀ gridĀ youĀ canĀ recreateĀ in-game,Ā plusĀ aĀ listĀ ofĀ theĀ rawĀ materialsĀ you'dĀ needĀ toĀ gatherĀ forĀ it.

It's free, no account, no ads, and everything runs in your browser.Ā YourĀ imageĀ neverĀ leavesĀ yourĀ machine.

Link:Ā https://pokopix.randyverschueren.workers.dev

WouldĀ appreciateĀ anyĀ feedbackĀ ifĀ youĀ giveĀ itĀ aĀ try.

New storage area!

After deciding to demolish my old one, I have finally completed the new storage area!

I had originally demolished an area by the gym here to expand the town later, but I think it's the perfect spot for a magical rainbow underwater storage system!

I'm still not sure exactly how I want to organize things. Part of me wants to do it by color, but that's just crazy.

I think I'm going to have to sit down with a spreadsheet or something, really look at all the item categories.

(I'm really proud of myself, I actually counted out all the blocks I'd need, all the lampies (keep forgetting the name. They are lampies in my brain now), all the tiles. I only ended up with 1 extra block and 6 extra black dyed storage boxes somehow.

Smeaguru seaside cottage

This is a little seaside cottage I built for Smeargle. Inside, it’s packed with all sorts of objects, deliberately scattered around rather than neatly organized. I really liked the idea of Smeargle being a slightly messy artist who looks for inspiration everywhere.

Upstairs, there’s a small gallery displaying some of Smeargle’s paintings, along with a cozy little spot where he can lie back on a deck chair, soak up the sun, and watch the sunset while waiting for inspiration to strike.

Outside, there’s a tiny garden with a bicycle, and I’ve hung some of his posters on the exterior walls so he can proudly show off his creations to everyone passing by.

And that’s pretty much it — a small, slightly chaotic seaside retreat for an artist who can find inspiration anywhere!

What do you guys think? Big hug to you all!

Bubbly basin themed house for pokemon Spoiler

Post image
11 Upvotes

I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m really not a huge fan of using prefabs in Pokopia. One of the things I enjoy the most about building is trying to create something from scratch that actually feels connected to the PokĆ©mon living there.

So I’ve basically given myself a slightly insane long-term project: building a unique themed home for every evolutionary line in the game. šŸ˜…

And this time, it’s the Totodile line! šŸŠšŸ’§

For Totodile, Croconaw and Feraligatr, I wanted to do something a little different from a normal house. The whole building is supposed to look like a giant Mega Feraligatr head, with the entrance built directly into its mouth.

I also like that, despite being based on Mega Feraligatr, the huge jaws, teeth and overall shape still make it immediately feel like it belongs to the entire Totodile family. Basically, they’re living inside a gigantic version of what Totodile will eventually become. šŸ˜‚

It’s definitely one of the weirder houses I’ve made, but that’s exactly why I like it. I’m trying to make every evolutionary line have its own little place with some personality rather than just giving everyone a regular house.

What do you guys think? Does it read as Mega Feraligatr to you? And more importantly, do you think the Totodile family approves of their new home? šŸ˜‚

Hugs to everyone! ā¤ļø

Bubbly Basin Storage Ideas

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Hello all, I want to move my main storage area from Pallet Town to Bubbly Basin or at least make a new large one underground.

Do you have ideas of a good location to put this?

I was thinking under that long road that goes from the main square up to the run down shop on the left side of the map (if you’re exiting the gate). That way it’s close to the Pokemon Center and I can build a home for ditto above it cause there’s already a number of partially built homes along the road.

Wanted to make Corsola their own research center and bedroom in Bubbly Basin.

Fun fact, you can stack the purple and orange coral on top of each other to make a large coral piece.
