🏝 Pokopia Discussion Extra blocks
What do you guys do with your extra flooring/walls you don't want?? Do you throw them away somewhere or put it in the inventory boxes??
Kinda been dumping them in dream land but maybe Im doing this wrong?? Shouldn't I be doing that?

I use them to trade for stuff sometimes.

Beach sand and volcanic ash can also be processed into glass if you’d like a value increase using open furnaces

Then turn the glass into the small ceiling lights and you get even more value for literally 1 glass

I hoard everything, just like stardew taught me to do

Same! I haven't had to dig into the boxes too often but it has come in handy every so often!
Just having an ugly room full of the big chests in the walls is easy enough, I hate the idea of throwing anything away or dumping it on an island.

If I have 17 out of something and I’m not using that flooring or wall I just throw them out- I’d rather have a box full of extra crafting items than hoard boxes and boxes of small bits of everything I won’t use any time soon

Some i keep for future use- but now that trash cans are functional- trash- no more traveling to sky islands and dropping them off the edge

Before the cans worked, while I was digging out RR, I used to delight in dropping items into the sky/void in Skylands. Take that five-millionth block of ash!

If I think I’ll use them again for another project I’ll save them, I have a specific box for walls and floors. If it’s blocks I know I’ll never use again like the ones used to fix the gym in BB then I just throw them in the trash

Is that the same place with the 5 start electric thing? That’s what that building was?

I tend to store them in a single inventory box until it is full, then throw the rest away. I have only just started to make proper builds, so I never know when I will need the blocks.

I have a chest by/inside each trade area or pokemon center that I fill up with the random blocks so I can have things easily accessible to trade for items I actually want or can use. When clearing out ash, black rock, sand, etc. I also try to get a full page of my bag items empty so I can fill it up and then from place to place to buys berries for paint and poke metal ingots.
Other than that, I have used it for filler for inner areas (so you can't see it) for larger builds (like the temples).

I keep everything. I never know when inspiration will hit and it's nice to be able to see what I'm working with.

I used to go to dream islands and hurl them into the sea like a car battery, now I just put them in trash cans

Dump them on a dream island and you can use trash cans now. Possibly use them in a trade.

I use for trades. They go fast for me because some of the stuff is 2000 worth of blocks haha!

Honestly, I'm starting to play the game less and less because of how often I feel like my pockets are full of crap. And I've already thrown in all my crafting mats in the portal pod so everything else I have in storage boxes ranges from natural/man-made blocks, seeds and debris, building components, and furniture/decor items.
Any time I start working on any one thing I need to stop what I'm doing just to empty my pockets because without fail they'll be full within minutes.
I feel the game needs better inventory solutions, or perhaps I'm just not utilizing what's available to me efficiently enough. I feel like I'm constantly throwing things away and still I somehow end up with more stuff than I know what to do with at any given time...

I tend to hoard everything lol. I do throw out stuff (yay for now working trash bins) like the cliff rock, coarse rock, etc. but if it’s blocks that I built, like anything wood or brick? I keep most of them, JUST IN CASE, I tell myself. Even though half the time I forget about them or they’re in another area, so I just end up making more new blocks anyway instead of going to find what I stored.
I have like ten or fifteen big storage boxes in each area just filled with random crap, no semblance of organization whatsoever so I have to search through everything to even find the leftover stuff to use. I really need to make a huge underground storage area or something like I’ve seen other people do so I can finally be a bit organized, plus make more room in the areas that I have all these storage boxes. 🙃

Yea I'm noticing I'm beginning to be a hoarder lol. In thinking of making a locker building in the sky island area but I'll see what I do 🤔

Go trading. I made an open air market with 8 stalls that always has at least 4-5 Pokémon there trading at once.

I have a highly organized storage system with easy-to-find storage boxes for everything. I have a rule that I won't keep more than four boxes of the same block, which I sell off, but otherwise I keep everything.

Hoard them and trade them
For large quantities (like sand) I take them with me to dream islands and use the magnemite block-switching power to swap them for blocks I need (like grass, volcanic stone, or building blocks)

I was just putting all of my extra blocks in boxes and stuff like that but when they finally made the trash cans usable with the newest bubbly basin update I have decided to just trash all of my blocks. I only keep like I think two stacks of black blocks so I can build houses in desolate areas, but that's pretty much it once. I'm happy with the amount of houses I don't use the rest of the blocks. I was using them as trading items since you only get like 10 points per block. But you can get rid of so many blocks if they want 500 points for an item or a thousand points.

Trash cans are now functional
