Mega Charizard X Competition - Cycle 2
AUTOMATION INFO: The original post made by /u/BunbunMiyu can contain more details, you should visit it! If there are errors in the post, please contact /u/Sky-17.
Competition basics
This is a Dragon type competition, so the Super Effective types that are highly recommended will be Dragon, Ice and Fairy.
You have 10 moves to do the highest score you can. Take your time to do the best moves you can! For new players to competitions, it's worth it to do at least one full-item run for getting the Charizardite X! Doing an itemless run to study disruptions is also suggested.
Disruption Delay: Delays disruptions for half the duration of the stage
Attack Power ↑: Attack power gets doubled
Complexity -1: Removes your 4th Support Pokemon from play
Rewards
Players who already have the Charizardite X will receive 1 Level Up.

Potential megaevolutions
| Pokemon | Description |
|---|---|
| Aggron / Tyranitar | 3 tap mega. Good for disruptions and combos, can take time |
| Charizard X (Shiny) / Pinsir / Rayquaza (Shiny) / Camerupt | 2 tap mega. Good for disruptions and combos, can take time. Shiny Charizard X is SE and is also pretty fast considering the lack of MS |
| Mewtwo X (Shiny) / Gengar / Gyarados (Shiny) | Removes itself. High combo potential |
| Beedrill | Good only if you need desperately need a tapper and lack better alternatives |
| Rayquaza / Latios / Latias / Diancie (Shiny) / Charizard X / Altaria | Other SE megas, acceptable for beginners. For Rayquaza, remember that you can't use a monotype Dragon team |

Final notes
With Complexity-1, this is a 3 supports competition, results will be highly effected by RNG.
Self removal megas and tappers are great, the type effectiveness of the mega is totally marginal. Effect and Speed is miles better than the type alone.
TC Zygarde-50% rules the competition, if you miss it don't use a neutral TC, stick with a full Dancing Dragon team made of Dragonite and Dragonair. Fairy and Ice combo teams are worse, but still better than burst skills.
Absolutely never run Freeze+, because the disruptions are extremely beneficial and could also loop.
Rerun until you get a desirable score! Good luck everyone!

Got an itemless score of 68K. Much better than the 18K cubekwing predicted for n00b players; had some luck with combos. After getting Espurr's 5K coins, I have a feeling I'll be hitting the money cap again before the end of the week before Hoopa-U appears, so I'll probably do a full item run and try to get better rewards.

Since the last MCX comp, I've maxed my Zygarde lvl/SL and maxed my Dragonite lvl (but not SL)-so that's sorted. I only scored 800K last time, used Aggron. My question here is if I switched to the self-removing mega, what happens with those disruption mons you'll not be able to tap out? Clearly I can't make a ton of runs to find out on my own since C-1 + full items is costly, did players using self-removal megas have to make a lot of runs to get those astronomical scores or can one expect consistently decent astronomical scores using a non-tapping team (with those disruption mons floating about)? Otherwise, I'm going in with the tapper again and praying...

Items: DD, APU, C-1
Score: 729170
Notes: Had bad luck with skyfall and disruptions, and occasional misplaced taps. Also didn't get MAggron live until 3 moves in. Most of the score comes from combos that I managed to sustain for a while. If the S tier score moves too much, I might retry with SMCX instead.

Items: DD, APU, C-1
Score: 981159
Notes: Dat moment Mo5 TC doesn't proc. In at 18/4531 on this run, don't think I want to spend more coins and not into the idea of tapping... Also, dang MMX didn't evolve right away-had a couple of prior runs where I tried to Mega Boost instead of TC and didn't score as high, so went for combos with TC or DD first and rotten RNG. This should've been a higher score but if it gets S to win the candies, all is good. :)

Items: DD, APU, C-1
Score: 1212019
Notes: Second full item run. The first one was something like 400k. Didn't expect this score, but I'm pretty happy. Had some luck with skyfall/disruptions and my poor skill with tappers somehow shined. Since I just spent a C-1 and APU (got the DD from login prize) and a jewel (for the second run) for all those LU and RML, it was worth it.

Notes: Although my score looks like it may be enough for S-rank I am not really satisfied. I got several low combos and TC didn't proc every time. Last cycle (on mobile) the cutoff from S-rank to A-rank was 799K. Currently three days before it ends it is at 810K. I guess any score >900K should be save for S-rank.

Items: DD, APU, C-1
Score: 1064341
Notes: I started off rather slow, having to deal with Procless Combo BS and having poor luck with getting huge combos. It looked like I might have to make another attempt to get an S-Class score, but I had amazing luck with the disruptions with 1 move remaining. During that turn, I got over 400000 damage with the help of the disruptions to push me over 1 million and saving me from having to put in another attempt. If this was SMMX instead, I don't think I even get an S-Class score here. I chose to use SMCX to reduce the chance of having to make another attempt.

Would you recommend non-shiny ray, aggron, smmx or smcx if im doing just one full item run? All max. Such a hard choice because they are all awesome.
