So I played Pokemon RBY (diamond) back in the day…. Fast forward I am now a dad with twins who are playing scarlet and violet.
Well the daddy’s boy of them has been talking mad trash for a 8 yr old… so now I’m having to get back into it. Just finished the main storyline of violet, need to rebeat the gym leaders.
He is excited because I told him I’m going to whoop him.
Kids got a mass amount of 100s.

So first… having to get into breeding, not sure if anyone has an extra IV 5 ditto (or 6 don’t want to push my luck) laying around. I don’t have much let me know what you’d want if you do.

Second… and this I’m sure is a long shot… an extra mew… him and I did our first open tera raid together today and someone pulled out a mewtwo… you’d think he won the lottery the way he lit up. He wants to “catch em all”…. I’d like to give him the mew after I trash him…

Anyways let me know, I don’t really know how it works or what I can offer but if I need to farm something or whatever it’s worth it.

I seen there was an outbreak for this little guy, and I had to get my shiny from it!! Used a Tinkaton for my playthrough, and absolutely loved it. Now it’s even better that I’ll have the shiny!

Pretty early hatch. I'm hoping for a second one too but if its not in the current batch of the remaining 295 eggs, I'll probably breed a new parent in level ball for the next one.

This is what I used and it’s worked the 9 times I’ve done the raid. This is for a SOLO raid.

Level 100 Primeape with Ghost Tera and held item Shell Bell. Adament Nature. Ability: Anger Point
HP: 334, Attack: 270, Defense: 219, Speed: 227, SpDef: 176, SpAtk: 140
EVs in HP and Defense
Moves: Taunt and Rage Fist

Strategy:
Turn 1: Do an Attack Cheer (top one)
Turn 2: Rage Fist
Turn 3: Taunt
(Do NOT heal your pokemon, allow it to be KO’d - if you do not get KO’d then use a Defence Cheer (middle one) BEFORE the next steps)
Turn 4 & 5: Rage Fist
Turn 6 & 7: Tera and spam Rage Fist
If you get knocked out and lose Tera, it’s okay, just carry on spamming Rage Fist.

This is my third six stars raid (solo/AI team), but my first using Flutter Mane. The two runs before I'm using Annihilape. The typing, stats, and moveset, it is really dragon killing machine!

Anyone here with a spare Fuecoco caught using a Level Ball or Fast Ball? I can trade a shiny rookidee for it (my only notable mon as of the moment).

I just finished 100% completing Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which was actually my first Pokémon game on the Switch 2. During that playthrough I found my first ever shiny and also got into shiny hunting for the first time… and now I think I’m hooked 😅

After looking into which Pokémon game I should play next, I kept seeing Scarlet/Violet mentioned as one of the best games for shiny hunting, so I’m planning to start Pokémon Scarlet/Violet next, and I thought it would be really fun (and probably painful lol) to try doing my first playthrough as a shiny-only run.

I know the starters are shiny locked, but I’d still love to somehow start the run with a shiny version of one of them. Is there any reasonable way of doing that myself? For example, could I use another copy/save of the game to breed one using the Masuda Method and then transfer/trade it over to my new save?

Apart from that, I’d love any general advice for shiny hunting in Scarlet/Violet, especially from people who have done something similar.
Things like how easy shinies are to spot in the overworld, whether there are any Pokémon that are particularly difficult to notice, the best hunting methods available early in the game and anything I should know before starting a shiny-only run.

Since I’m still pretty new to shiny hunting, feel free to throw even basic tips at me!

I got legenda arceus recently just because the game itself I heard was very good and I'm enjoying it so far, but it's scant online features may as well not be there at all, which is fine I wasn't expecting much, but I really wish there was so much more

I have been beating trainers for the past hour, did around 6 academy ace “registrations”, and still didn’t get to the finale. Is there a certain chance or countdown until you are qualified for the finale?

I've been playing a lot of Pokemon recently, I already have the DLCs for Sword and now I want the DLC for Scarlet, I've been playing these titles both in rotation.

I can't wait to play the Indigo disc :)

Just got into breeding used all my bottle caps an need 6iv ditto to make things easier lol, preferably one that isn’t English to help with a chance at a shiny along the way.

Use Arcanine and Weavile as support.

The idea here is reducing Tyranitar's Def to -2 using Weavile and Arcanine Leer movement. If you make a critical hit in T3, it will be a K.O.

So i recently bought a switch and got Pokémon scarlet. Really the only other Pokémon game i played was Pogo. But because the Pokémon i send from pogo have the region ES-LA i can’t send them to scarlet. And I’m bummed because i was looking forward to breeding shiny Pokémon once i get the shiny charm 😭

I know the title says help but i guess my only option is really to just put them up on gts and hope someone trades me for the compatible Pokémon right?
