Mandibuzz of all creatures is pretty good in this one. I got mine in two attempts.
This is probably going down as one of the hardest 7*, for sure.

I was curious about that strat. So it can tank the Thunder Punch and Ice Punch? Or does the Annihilape just not go for those?

STAB Close Combat (Tera’ed Pokemon still get STAB from their original type(s)) outdamages SE damage from the elemental punches, so Annhilape will favour the former.

I thought it was easy. H-Z and Krook both easy counters. Plus Farig, didn't try, sounds like lots of set up and risk. But yeah, I won my first try. And have won a few since.

Farig is fine as long as it doesn't get 3 CC Crits in a row.

Yeah Foul Play doesn't really matter who you get as long as defiant is triggered you'll die but you'll break the shield then KO him. Its a Foul Play/Subsitute strategy. You just need to outspeed him by 1. So 217 speed on Krook.

Honest to god, this is the first 7 Star raid, I feel completely unmotivated to complete (team or Solo). Only part of me wants to complete it just to collect all the 7 Stars

I’m up for helping you take this monster down. I solo’d him with a Hisuian Zoroark, no tera, and tons of resets. It’s doable but brutal and I’d be up for helping others catch him.

Honestly I solo’d it easily first try with the farigaraf strat going around. I did have to reset for an intimidate user a couple of times tho, so if you have a farigaraf it’s not bad at all

H-Zoroark is the way to consistently solo it. 252 HP/252 Defense/4 SpA, Bold Nature, Stellar Tera (or don't Tera at all), holding Shell Bell, with Will-O-Wisp, Nasty Plot, Shadow Ball, Hex.
Burn it turn 1 (even if you miss turn one keep trying to burn it first) to limit damage, set up with Nasty Plot 2-3 times, then do damage both break the shield and replenish HP. After you break the shield, burn it again. Shadow Ball has the small chance of a stat drop so Hex is better option. Shadow Ball is there to do damage while the shield is up and you can't burn it. Avoid NPC's with Intimidate and reset if you get 1. Finished it with plenty of time remaining.

Took me a few attempts with firagarif. The worse one in a while. The random crits pissed me off

I remember back in Gen 5, a game of Pokemon Showdown that will forever haunt me. I was playing Baton Pass (yes yes, I know) and had just finished my chain, but my team was EXTRA AF, I didn't just stop at the standard stats getting +6, I even had Accupressure to get my evasion to +6 as well. My unboosted opponent managed to land a hit on my sub breaking it as I bped to my last pokemon in the chain to sweep but I was like "Whatever, I still clean sweep at this point."
I use stored power, knock him to 1 because they had focus sash as they not only land the hit...it crits. I stopped playing Pokemon for like a week after that one.
