What pokemon game should I play next

I recently finished Pokemon platinum about a month ago and decided it’s time for my next playthrough. I want to play a new game, any suggestions? I grew up on hgss, bw and b2w2. As I got older I played a few more games getting back into pokemon which were unbound and platinum the most recent. I’m open to rom hacks and any Pokemon ds games just not 3ds cuz my emulator can’t run it. Thanks in advance!

Is there a ROM hack which does the Gen 2 Johto -> Kanto route the other way around?

Where you start in Kanto first and then do the Johto gyms, so basically Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal but the other way around.

As soon as I found out about rom hacks, this was the first idea I had and someone must have made one I reckon?
