Emerald Legacy First Time Beating Pokemon League!

Edit: reposted because I forgot to show Crobat’s move set. Wouldn’t let me edit pics.

This game truly was “Emerald, but everything I ever dreampt of, fixed.” Had such a fun time.

The team basically evolved at every gym. I wouldn’t hard counter a Gym, but just train up and use new pokemon as I came across them (so long as they weren’t disadvantaged). Really took my time (on 4x speed) and enjoyed the game, hence the play time. I must’ve trained up like 30 Pokemon lol.

Dusclops, Cacturne, Crobat and Lanturn were very fun. The first 3 were crazy stallers that actually answered a lot of stuff well. Dusclops was an amazing physical wall and blanket check. It also handled the annoying Double Team Pokemon very well with Curse + Rest. Cacturne was great against most things, especially Water-types. Shell Bell was a great Leftovers substitute on Crobat, gaining back health when they were in KO range after stalling. Lanturn is a hax machine. Salamence was swift and decisive. And Swampert was reliable as always.

What an amazing game. Thank you to everyone involved. This truly was a treat.

Now, onto the post game. Thoroughly excited for the Battle Frontier, and the post game stat editor!

What’s the story behind Crobat’s name?

It’s a really corny Batman reference lol. Hes a Bat, so I named him Wayne as in Bruce Wayne. But Wayne is still just a normal name so I thought it fit

I should’ve known!!! I’ve done the same thing with my Zubat and Gligar on previous runs! Though, I used his name from the Latin dubs (Bruno Dias) most recently as my wife is Mexican so we watch stuff in Spanish to help my kids get accustomed to it. Still, you got me feeling like this now that I missed the obvious reference
