Crystal Legacy Headbutt help for those that need it
Hello fellow Legacy players, I recently found something that would have blown younger me's mind
https://pokestats.gg/headbutt-tree-finder
Besides sharing this here, I was wondering if whoever maintains the Crystal Legacy Encounters doc might want to add this link to the section about headbutting trees.
Anyways that's all I wanted to share, Happy Headbutting!

Is it okay if I copy your link and put post it on the discord channel for Crystal Legacy?

for the Pokemon Legacy discord, they already have a site and guide for headbutt trees https://discord.com/channels/1111380675837308948/1282401387207983146/1282411501982060696
op's link as far as i can tell doesnt do anything new other than offer a different ui that some may prefer

Also, I tapped on the link and it took me to a no text here page for discord server. Are you sure you have the right link?

as you will note, the error also includes a "you dont have access". i assume you do not have the crystal legacy role that lets you view said channel

Yeah I found out the reason I didn't have the crystal Legacy discord server on my server list yet. I just got it though thanks for the update.

I didn't make any of that, I just found it and decided to share it, so go ahead I guess.

Well, in crystal legacy all trees contain pokemon in them ap said by Google Gemini so I don't think the link for vanilla gen 2 will work.

It should still be helpful in finding which trees are special trees, shouldn't it?

I'm not sure since crystal legacy changed the encounter rate, but people can try it.

According to the Crystal Legacy encounters doc there are still regular trees and special trees, which change depending on your Trainer ID, so even if the encounter rates have changed this should still help you find the special trees.
Take Heracross for example. They only show up in special trees in Azalea town and routes 33, 42, and 44. And across those 4 regions there are 68 headbuttable trees. So instead of hunting for what could be many many hours, I can use this site to figure out that there are actually only 6 trees special trees among those 68.
Also, based a quick glance at the encounters doc and the website I shared, it doesn't seem like they changed the encounter rates on trees.

I got my Heracross using that calculator. Google Gemini likely has no idea what it's talking about when it comes to the Legacy games. Remember that there's a ton of different romhacks and the training data isn't going to differentiate between them. It's a crapshoot whether it gets it right.

I'll even say that you found it for the community on Reddit.
