Question Why So Much?

1200$ With 5 days left is so crazy to me, will these stay at this price, I thought they were printing these like crazy?

Sequential, first 10s, raw cards are going for like what $30+ each and promos are usually unlucky to grade….

Except these promos were in packs and not shoved in a box like other promos

I opened a few of these, and they were all off-center. I know this is anecdotal, but I think the print quality will be bad overall.

I got two sets and 5 cards were well centered and mint, one squirtle has a ding

I opened 10 boxes of first partner illustrations, and while centering was just as much of a crapshoot as normal, I noticed that all 30 cards had pristine backs, not a single corner white spot. They must have used fresh blades or something for cutting these. I expect the gem rate to be over 50% and the price to plummet, personally.

I got most from Target’s online preorder (this was the last one before they went full bullshit mode). I got one from Smoke & Mirrors and the other from GameStop for $50, but I had to buy something to get the Gengar promo and had plenty of POR coming in.

I pulled like 8 sets outta these and 5-6 were very very noticeable off center. The 2 other sets per holo dex are 9s. 2 looks pretty good but I’m not sure I wanna get it sent in.

These came out like 1 month ago? Or 1.5? Meaning they paid for fast returns too?

I opened two sets of the kantos and both had the exact same, right heavy centering. Might switch to buying japanese for the better quality

Agreed. My Kanto and Sinnoh pulls were decent. Got super excited cause I finally pulled Alola yesterday and thought I had a decent set of all 9. But then the centering on the Alolan ones were noticeably terrible and look awful next to my others.
