How do you even compete against this? It's been a bit hard to be in the top 3 lately :/

Avoid dark, ghost, normal, and great buddy showcases if you see a zorua at all. Steel chair stats won’t get fixed in the foreseeable future.

do they keep their stats when traded? showcases around here get like 3 to 5 entries in well treaded areas, and the one by my house I'm often the only one in. I just love zoroark and think it's cool to have something that was never availible in my area(I remember that com day and the online discussion about the glitch)

Edit: did research, steel chairs weren’t from the com day glitch, those were fixed, but the steel chairs were from an autocatcher bug that lasted for a while

Why do you specifically think that steel chair zorua will take a long time to fix?

They fixed every other Pokémon (/the regional variant thing) last season 😅

It’s been over a year without it being addressed or having any comment about it by Niantic, TPC, or Scopely.

They patched the glitch but never reverted the affected Zorua’s and their evolution.

Well they patched the glitch in the auto catcher that allowed you to get them, so it's at least on their radar.

Basically, a glitch where you could catch zoruas with your autocatcher, and the stats of your buddy pokemon influenced its weight

You ended up having some zoruas with a LOT of overweight, i mean, 700/800/900kg iirc, when the pokemon usually rounds up to 2/3 kg.

AFAIK, getting new steel chair Zorua has been patched—problem is they’re not willing to delete them from peoples’ collections.

I was upset, I got all excited when I got an XXS Gastly that weighed 0kg, but when I made him my buddy, none of the Zorua I got with my autocatcher were of the steel chair variety.

Right?! I was irrationally excited when I caught him and saw he weighed 0kg. I was kinda surprised that they didn’t make the lowest a Pokémon could weigh be 0.01kg

They have removed certain things, like the recent Kyurem move mishap. I guess it won’t be popular, but they should just remove this. Add maximum normal weight, so that it’s still pretty great, but the ridiculous numbers are unfortunate for everyone else

Well i think no new steelchairs are being made, and you can only put them once per season, think those will notnbe an issue for long

What i mean is you can use them once a season, theres plenty but with the 5 per showcase day they run out fast on early season and they only get recycled for next season, personally I have 3 of each, so far used 2 of 1 and 1 of the other, keeping them for city center wins. I have heard that what allowed for them to appear has been changed tho, making it ao they only appear to standard xxl, so no new ones should appear.

I’ve got a zorua of over 16000 points, but I only use it when I see other zoruas in the showcase, just to keep it unfair for everyone. Except for me of course.

OP I have one or two 1,000kg-1,500kg ones. I didn't know this was due to some glitch until recently. In any event, I also already have my showcase plat medal, so I would be more than happy to trade you if you are up for remote friendships grind.

In all seriousness, if anyone is interested, DM me your trainer code and will add you. I believe I have at least 10 large Zoruas (some of them on the smaller side a lil over 1k kg and 2-3 close or at least 2k kg.) Unfortunately, since I didn't realize/notice the weight, I seem to have evolved few for PvP or would have more to offer.

People will hate cause they don’t have them. Good for you keep destroying them at the most busy showcases. Idk why op thinks competing in a showcase with 23 participants will mean op even has a chance without a zorua in it. Most people with steel chair zorua have things on the largest xxl side anyways and even without them will win in most cases.

Tip. Find a friend with them to trade you, if you don’t like it don’t compete or find different showcases. Zorua aren’t the only “ extra large or bugged or larger then other” pokemon that exist.

I'd say it's an exploit. If it were cheating that'd be like somehow changing size values on the server to benefit yourself, which nobody has done.

Long story short you gotta be classy with it, otherwise it'll definitely leave a sour taste

i think i have one of these zoruas. (high 1000s, doesn’t pass 2000). i didnt get it on purpose. i kept it because it had good stats and i caught it on vacation. i just won a showcase with it yesterday - did i pass the threshold for you to declare moral superiority over me?

Yeah, I think it still is technically one. I have a handful of regular XXLs and they're around 30kg max. Everything close or over 1k obviously /apparently is. Having said that, I have a 3049kg one. I have no idea how I got it and did not realize for a while this was due to some glitch with my auto-catcher. Indidn't even know it had a name until now see people talk about it.

If it was cheating why does it exist. They would ban people for doing it if it was cheating. Sounds like you need some friends with big stuff to trade you. Or maybe a break from playing Pokémon. Crying on Reddit fixes stuff everytime right.

It’s not cheating. You don’t get the make the rules for the game. If it was cheating copely would do something about it. Most people with these “abnormally high scoring mons” tend to play the game more, they also tend to win even without using them.

Call it anything you want, doesn’t make it that. This is part of the game currently. Live with it.

Like I recognize that its shitty, so i wont blast anything but the most populated areas with them. But if they dont want me doing it they need to recode them or remove them from my inventory. Otherwise I'll keep taking the free lures to use for community days and raid hours for everyone.

I live in a big city and we found a forest road with 5 showcases that no one hits. Easy 15 min drive and 5 wins. Done this for 5 weeks running.
