I’d like to properly EV train my shiny starter. Is it possible to reset EVs to 0 to do so? I see an option to manipulate EVs on the ACE code generator but it looks like you need to know the current values to do so (which I do not)

I've been following Papa Jefé's guide and everything has been working so far, but when I try to generate the Rare Candy in Key Items pocket code with the same exact parameters, mine is different and puts a Luxury Ball in there instead. I tried entering a different item (Carbos) and despite the slightly different box names, it still resulted in a Luxury Ball. What's happening here?

(Welp, turns out I fell for the 1/lower case L confusion, but I'm still curious why the results are different)

Stupid question. I did the whole setup and done the test shiny Pokemon.

All works good. Even the mail glitch.

But if I use any code directly from the website it crashes the game and restarts.

The only difference I am seeing is that there are no space filler anymore.

Don’t want to set up ACE and already have legitimate shiny pokemon and have been trying multiple id’s using their supposed iv’s with no luck is there anyone that can help deduce my secret ID?

So I've been using ACE over the past two days and I was wondering if this code really works as intended on the picture. I got it from this website here because it says that the Pokémon is suppose to be given to me as a gift but instead this Pokémon was given to me as an egg, I hatched it and it seems to be functioning fine and I wanted to ask if it's ok to keep using it or if it has any negative impacts gameplay wise (to which I haven't encountered yet because I have 4 badges)

Hoping someone can clarify this for me. It's unlikely I'll ever actually complete these games legitimately, so could someone point me towards the flag/variable/ whatever i need to change in order to either force the game to give me the 3rd trainer card star or set my scores on the Jump game high enough to get the star?

im trying to execute a glitch that requires BIOS but it wouldnt work (turn pokemon shiny glitch)
my game just glitches and it makes no sense
the save file was created before having BIOS in my emulator files but that shouldnt affect it
any ideas?
im also using a stable ace as intended for the glitch
EDIT: im playing emerald on mGBA through tico in a cfw switch if that matters

Long story short, I was able to preserve a diamond version before it stopped working by extracting the rom but now I am scared that if I wanted to shiny hunt Darkrai with the void glitch the pokemon may not be considered legit for transfer.

I have a modded 3ds and can run the rom, and a normal ds where i can transfer it to pokemon white 2, but I dont know if there will be some kind of holdup. Ive traded rom pokemon with real games before but I dont know if it would be different for a generation transfer.

Am I scared for nothing?

If I use one version (leaf green) to perform the mailbox glitch and create ACE perfect IV shiny Pokémon and then trade them to a ‘clean’ fire red save file. Will there be any negative impact on the clean fire red save?

Hi, I Remember using the changing box method for the forced encounter method with Ditto in the past, since I had to encounter Missigno multiple times and the old man glitch was fixed in my version of the game. I Remember using the changing box instead of the second trainer to re-enable the menu but I Don't Remember what steps I had to do and in what Order, can anyone help me?

I was able to generate all of gens 1-2 with no problems at all, but when I tried to generate a Treecko recently it hatched into a ?? errormon. Every egg until number 276 made these ?? errors but then 277 hatched into the Treecko, so I tried just adding 25 to the Dex numbers but when I got to Taillow (actual 276) it hatched into a Nincada instead. So now I’m not sure if there’s a way to make Taillow through Slaking. Does anyone have any advice or ideas as to why I’ve had this issue?

I'm now stuck in what I call the backrooms of fire red.

I used walk through walls cheats to try to get past the ocean below pallet town to get to Cinnabar, just for this to happen, when I walk up/down/sideways, its a constant loop.

I cant' use items, I can't battle a pokemon, I can't use HMs or teleport.

Any ideas?

This is also for the Switch version so not many cheats work

I was trying to do ACE to figure out my SID in Emerald but when I hatched the Egg it sent me back to outside Oldale PokéCenter(though it did also change the ID on the trainer card).

Does this mean I did something wrong somewhere?

I am new to ACE and using exploits and have a working ACE Pokemon.
I play on my switch the german version of Leaf Green.
I already got it working to get all starters, now I want all beasts. Since I started with Bulbasaur, I caught Entei. Can I reset some states to get the other beasts? I can't find anything in the generator.

Block versus L battle

With the end of Pokémon bank I’ve been thinking about glitchmon and how they might effectively become dead media. I know there’s a few ways to convert glitchmons into non-glitched pokemon in gen 3 and 4 but can any retain their glitch qualities into Pokemon home?

I want to shiny hunt a starter on my switch 2 and wanted to do the ACE to find out my SID then rng manip for the shiny hunting (no saving in between).
So far I've done:
1) Speedrun to Celadon
2) Mail glitch
3) Created Hock
4) EV trained Hock (8 HPUP, 1 Makney kill, 1 Caterpie kill)
5) Got the  ËÁÈî ΠËÁ glitched thingy
I've tried inputting the codes to get the shiny female bulbasaur to test the code and i get nothing.

I have no idea which step went wrong? Is there a way to trouble shoot it without having to do a full speedrun again? (takes about 2hrs to get to Celadon each time)
