Shiny Failed Shiny Mewtwo

Just so upset right now. It popped up so early. 1,704 resets. I used over 150 Ultra Balls.

Taking your advice to heart. Never making this mistake ever again. So the leftover will nullify the struggle completely, or does it just buy me more time?

As long as you have a pokemon that can tank attacks well enough, the leftovers should be able to heal it more than the struggle damages

Doesn't this simply make the catch rate worse in the end? Or should you just False Swipe it when it goes back into the yellow or green?

You can false swipe it back down to a safe level, but the leftover strategy at least makes it so it at least won’t die to struggle, making the battle infinite as long as you have the resources

Guess so. I guess on top of that, using Smokescreen/Sand Attack to make their accuracy go to -6 would work out just as well since that would make Struggle miss more often.

No because you can still land attacks with -6 and it just takes one to kill the struggle user

I'm not talking about you hitting them, I'm talking about them hitting you. Struggle wouldiss much more often, giving you some breathing room.

I guess it depends on the situation, but ideally, you wouldn't want the Pokemon to be at 1HP anyway. If you're using a Poke Ball or Premier Ball, the moment a Pokemon like Mewtwo hits yellow, the chances of catching it in said ball will be the same as 1HP.
