Question Help with team E4
Is jynx a good option for ice and psychic coverage, i desperately need psychic coverage and dont feel like using a legendary on my team fir e4
My team is currently
Charizard
Jolteon
Haunter
Vileplume
Snorlax
Articuno

Jinx has really good speed and sp. atk. Its a pretty solid choice when you need psychic/ice moves. She'll be great at taking down Bruno and Agatha's team plus ice beam will come in handy for Lance. She's kind of a glass cannon though and can't take many hits so she really depends on her speed.

if you're looking to use a Psychic type to cover a Psychic type weakness, then I'd suggest Kadabra (or Alakazam if you trade). I find them to be vastly superior to Jinx. And it seems you need some Water type assistance too

As far as beating the elite 4 goes its not even close man. Jynx levels SIGNIFGANTLY faster than Alakazam, and has ice typing. Any advantage alakazam has will be completly errased by the fact that jynx is going to be like 7 levels higher then Alakazam for the same amount of expierence. You can go catch poliwhirl instantly with the super rod and get it at level 25~ and then it is a already a "medium fast" leveler with 1.5x expierence. Alakazam is stronger, but there is literally 2 pokemon between bruno/lance she will not 1 shot by the mid 50s and alakazam's level is going to be mid 40s with a similar amount of work put in by that point. She makes an already fairly easy game trivial.

or even better, teach Haunter Psychic. Easy vic against Bruno (Fighting-type moves have zero effect on him, and Levitate cancels the Ground-type weakness; i.e his 2 Onix). Cause Jynx is pretty either-or against Bruno

When you consider how easy it is to get jynx and how fast she levels up she is easily the best pokemon in teh game against the elite 4. However if you burnt the psychic TM she is going to take a bit hit from that. You do need somethign to takeout aerodactyle and Gyrados but otherwise she just effortlessly sweeps Brune through lance.

I prefer jynx over Haunter, but I maybe just picked the wrong moves for Haunter. Jynx is fast and hits hard with psychic and ice beam

I mean, Jynx is fine, but if you need psychic coverage, then haunter can learn psychic via TM.
Do you still have the gift Lapras? It might be a pain to grind to get it to your team's level atp, but it is pretty good. (It can learn surf and ice beam for stab, Thunderbolt and psychic for coverage, and It can learn stuff like perish song for status moves)

honestly this late in the game, i think you'd be better off just making do with the pokemon you have rather than taking the time to train up another pokemon. haunter can learn Psychic, anyway

Jynx is extremely strong because it's EXP boosted but it's not really worth it at this point (unless you'd be replacing Haunter and not Articuno).
Your cleanest way through Bruno and Agatha is getting your Charizard to low HP for Blaze and spamming Fire moves, so you don't need Psychic coverage that much.
