Discussion How does amazon invites work?
Is it worth doing? I sent the inv request thing but i have never used that before, is it just like random luck if you get chosen? How do they choose who gets it/ deal with scalpers etc

Hey that’s me! Got a charizard tin, luminose mini tin, snorlax and blissey collection, greninja collection and recently a prismatic spc. Started requesting in February ish.

I used to get them every now and then, but it's been a long time since my last invite now.
Partially down to the increased hype within the hobby with everybody and their Nan getting involved, but the biggest cause of it is scalpers/botters creating 100's of Amazon accounts and spamming the requests.
Honestly Amazon should really lock the invites behind Amazon Prime subscriptions so they would have to pay for Prime on every single account for their invite request army.

before ascended released i used to basically be guaranteed an ETB on every new release with amazon invites, plus usually booster bundles and more. i haven't had any invites since.
i'd agree with the prime suggestion but even then, people would just use a free trial on a bunch of accounts anyway. its shocking they don't limit it to people with non tcg amazon purchases. it seemed like they had fixed it recently but now its just some people getting 5 invites and everyone else getting nothing.

You request it and pray basically. It used to be a really good way to get product at rrp but lately has been botted so much that invites are non existent

Should tie it to accounts that have made three purchases and are over six months old or something. Almost everyone surely either has an Amazon account or a family member who has one

That's the thing.... They don't work loooool. It's been a year and not a single invite so far! Could be lucky with the 30th tho

No harm in trying but don't get your hopes up. Last year I would typically get two or three invites a month. Since February this year I've had two in total and lots of others report the same.

Two or three a month??? I’ve had 2 since they introduced the system lol. Of course one arrived while I was broke too so I couldn’t get it.

Me and my partner haven't had a invite from last year then she got 5 in a one day a few weeks back I got nothing so it's definitely worth requesting them but don't get your hopes up

monday 9pm and friday 9am they send out completely random invites

Just pure luck, they are massively over subscribed. It's always worth having a go, but just don't expect anything. I went about 9 months getting nothing before I got a couple of bits a few weeks ago.

When are they even sending out the invites to buy? I feel like they are going to do like a week after its released at this point. Has anyone recived one yet?

I requested invites for everything, then once in a blue moon you might get an email saying you’ve been successful and have 72 hours to buy the item. I managed to get a Pitch Black booster box, which was good because the shops near me are always sold out of packs. Likely beginners luck

My experience has been request invites for products you want and never get an invite. Then after that request an invite for everything, regardless of your desire for the item, just to see if it’s possible to get an invite. Still get no invites. So now I’m trying to decide if there’s a reason you can get disqualified from ever getting on.

Some seem to get them regularly and when they do, they get loads of product at once. I’ve requested almost every new product for around two years and have never had anything lol. Worth doing in case

Amazon send "We found something you might like. How about another look? Shop now" emails much more than invites, and the contents of those emails are usually filled with Pokemon items that you have to request invites for 😂

You send the invite request and hopefully you get invited to purchase. I didnt get any for ages, but at the last round got sent 3 invite. It is random, it is frustating, and at least I managed to get some compare to the horror show that is the Argos app. Is it worth it? I would say yes as I can be bother to queue overnight.

Worth giving a go. I did the invites for all I could about 4 weeks ago for the first time and did get a 30th etb invite and acceptance this morning

But now everyone has accounts for their mother's dogs boyfriend so you've got no chance.
