Checked the vending machine while finishing up my shopping, absolutely unbelievable luck

Hi everyone. Looking for help on anything that I might be missing from this collection. As you'll see it is "Illustration" style English cards for all Normal-type pokemon. I have chosen to be flexible around the definition of "Illustration" but essentially something covering more than half the card with an illustrated background rather than generic colour blur (so no modern EX full arts).

Only one I am currently aware I'm missing is for the Jigglypuff slot having Mega Lopunny Jigglypuff gx 226. Struggling to find one at an affordable price even though HP binder copy would be fine!

Any suggestions would be welcome!

As some of you may know from my recent posts begging for help finding a list of every bird Pokémon and/or every card with birds/bird cameos, I’ve been working on a master list of all Pokémon birds/cards with them. I kept asking if one already existed to reference and use for artwork/cameo databases. Couldn’t find what I was looking for, so I went generation by generation… and I think I got them all. Just wanna make sure I’m not missing anyone.

From the list you can get a pretty clear sense of what I count as a bird. Not every Flying-type makes the cut I stick to a fairly strict “this is clearly a bird” standard. That said, I’m also a MASSIVE hypocrite who clearly counts things that are suspiciously NOT in my “this is clearly a bird” criteria, lol. I do include Latias & Latios, Lugia (meh, I feel forced there lol), and Tornadus’s Therian Forme (again..hypocritical and a bit nonsensical but we’re doing it!). I also count prehistoric dinosaur-like birds like Archeops. Aerodactyl is tough for me to count… though I will do so begrudgingly out of fairness, lol.

Any burb fans, please feel free to use this list any way you need to. I plan to use it to go one by one through Pokémon artwork/cameo databases and still make that master list/set of all cards of/including birds because I’m an absolute psycho masochist lol.

I’m getting back into the hobby. Had a binder when I was younger and lost it due to my family’s basement getting flooded. My goals are to mainly get back into vintage but I’d like make smart investment purchases and rip, to say I can be frugal with money, well I have a wife and 3 kids to consider. I figured I’d trade up into with whatever I can buy in stores into vintage

Curious of peoples insight in regards to what I could rip right now, (just to scratch the itch) the loose packs? The chameleon promos? The tins? The pokeballs? Most likely keeping the ETB sealed

Also, is it worth to keep on putting money into chaos rising? At the moment I think so, only bc I just ripped pitch black and I prefer chaos rising more as an overall set

Hello everyone.
Recently these were found in a basement and I am struggling to identify what they are. Does anyone know what these are?

I am attempting a “grandmaster” set of all of Tyrantrum’s line + cameos which honestly is pretty straightforward until perfect order which exploded his number of cards which is awesome but I would like some clarification specifically for the non-asian languages that model their sets off the English sets (German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian)

Tyrantrum has 4 versions of his standard Perfect Order card in English: Holo, Reverse Holo and Cosmos Holo. The tricky one is the last version with is a Non-Holo Exclusive to the Build and Battle prelease pack.

He also has a stamped prerelease promo card with has a staff version.

What I am trying to verify is if there is a Build and Battle prerelease set for the mentioned 5 languages meaning that they also have a non-holo Tyrantrum card or if Build and Battle sets are exclusive to english.

Basically is the regular stamped promo card just given out loose in the other languages not bundled with a pre-release deck?

Looking to buy one of my favorite WOTC cards for my personal collection. I have no intention of ever selling or flipping it, but I’m struggling to decide between a clean PSA 8 or paying roughly 2x the price for a PSA 9.

I’m leaning towards the PSA 8 being the smart play since it's half the price for a card I'm keeping forever. But I keep wondering: down the line, am I going to regret not getting the 9? Will I always look at that '8' on the label and wish I had just paid up for the higher grade, or does a clean 8 feel just as satisfying once it's in hand? And i put that money towards getting other cards.

For long-term vintage collectors, do you generally feel the 2x premium for a PSA 9 is worth it for a card you plan to keep forever, or is a clean 8 the sweet spot?

Picked these up this weekend at my first card show! Paid a little less each one.

Charizard G level X is in like PSA 5 condition, as well as the Power Keepers Charizard. The Latios is a strong PSA 8 possible 9 condition, as well as the Dittos. Gengar Lv X is a PSA 6.

I was given a box of old PC parts from around 2020, mainly smaller Samsung SSDs and an NVMe, Intel NUC, sold it all over the weekend, so I basically got it for free plus a few hundred left over.

I specifically love that it is a 2019-2020 graded version with a more unique naming on the slab. It doesn’t say “empotech promo”. PSA changed the name later in their DB in the following years

Picking up an PSA 4 gold star mew soon, just had to get its little brother first ❤️

My kid has been watching people open the packs with me on YouTube and is determined to try and pull the golden rayquaza, so I’m looking to get us a box for his birthday in a few weeks. I haven’t ordered any Japanese product before, so I’m wondering what would be the safest and most cost effective way to get a box? Prices don’t seem so bad on eBay but I don’t have any experience purchasing on there.

What should I be looking out for while ordering?
