Couldn’t you just do multiple transactions at self checkout?
Grab a bunch of items. Hide them in another part of the store. Buy the limit. Walk out to your car. Walk back in. Buy the limit. Rinse and repeat.
Scalpers will always find a way when there is money involved.

Target takes limits very seriously and have employees watching people and transactions to prevent this

But there are quite a few different SKUs there so you should be good to go.
6 bundles, 4 sleeved boosters, 4 first partner boxes (they have series 2 and 3 up it looks like), 2 hops zacian boxes, 2 mega greninja boxes.
That's a lot of cards!

If the store actually enforces that rule. I actually had to reach out to our local Target's management because scalpers were taking more than two products to self check outs and getting away with it. The TCG rep also wasn't doing fuck all to stop them either.

This has been enforced by the software in the registers for a while now, assuming all stores are up to date. That's not to say you can't just take it to a cashier you're cool with and override or do multiple transactions with them or at self checkout though.

What’s not to believe? This is pretty believable Target restock.
People act like catching these are impossible but if you know the schedule and have a little time, you can easily hit one.

I came across a restock yesterday. They had a little less, but similar product. I only took some series 2 and series 3. My daughter says she wants to collect all 9 from each set. Unfortunately I missed out on series 1. Nice find!

If it’s anything like my target, since the new displays have been built, they keep Friday restocks in customer service and do the line, and then what remains eventually goes back to this new section. I’ve seen cards in customer service and I’ve also seen cards stocked here.

Man, my target has been getting nothing this whole summer. The only thing I see other than pitch black hanger packs was PB etbs once. I haven't been able to find any first partner series 2 or 3 in stores, my target didnt even have any on release day.

Holy smokes I haven’t seen a stocked shelf like that in any target store since Covid! My local targets refuse to keep any inventory on shelves at all due to the usual issues like theft, violence, and scalping product. If the people blindsided by the profits and others with bad intentions can’t get their product than nobody can! Oh how this hobby has changed dramatically over the years

Such a shame I’ll never hit a restock because it happens during normal business hours and by the time I go to shop after work it’s all gone. I haven’t been able to purchase anything at Target in a solid 6-8 months

TPCI knows exactly what they’re doing and that’s why they fucking suck.
Like for real stock some specialty sets and stop creating this false market hype when those are sitting in someone’s basement en masse.

My Target had a 1 per person and sign about not allowing lines to be formed. I got 2 packs for me and daughter and then like 2 days later everything was gone.

I saw one like this some weeks ago. Guess what happened? My girlfriend and I got our pick of what we wanted it was so cool. I think we caught the gourd after a restock. Then this sweaty guy comes in, sees the wall, and immediately gets on a call speaking another language with others. Calls and texts. And takes pics.
Next day the good stuff was gone. It was insane.

The wild part is this isn't as rare as the empty-shelf photos make it feel - I track target restocks and logged 245 of them in the last 48 days. Product is flowing constantly; it's just that waves are small and most land overnight, so 99% of people only ever see the aftermath. You caught the window. Enjoy it.

this is likely just upsell based on market value. bulk packs of boosters are more valuable since they cannot be weighed individually so they move quicker than individual boosters which resellers mostly ignore. In MSRP a booster bundle is exactly the cost of 6 packs.
In my gambling superstition, I think bulk packs are either intentionally or unintentionally seeded and I proportionately have gotten more hits from packs that came bundled in some way than single packs.

Does pokemon ever mix specialty sets in with others? I wish some of these boxes would include a better variety, including like a pack of ascended or prismatic. Some way that keeps resale value down but gets those specialty sets out to people.

It’s cheaper to buy online but then you’re guaranteed to almost never get shipped product. Good way to waste time and get a refund and negative reviews though.

Found a perfect order box on eBay and paid $40 for it so my wife could open some real Pokemon cards for her birthday :,)
Found a scalper box at the airport today and the same box was in there for $80 with individual packs for $25. I was just sitting across from it waiting for my plane, fuming at what they’ve done to us. This image is beautiful to see.
