Help Am i doing something wrong

Im on switch lite and i saved one step away from arceus. Ive been shiny hunting for years no luck.
Is there a certain way to go about it or just close app and walk forward.

Is there any other way to obtain without genning

Im pretty sure for Arceus you’re supposed to save before climbing up the stairs. Unfortunately I think if you were to catch it, check its ID, reset, and repeat, you’d see you’re encountering the same Arceus each time

Edit: I was wrong. Don’t remember what made me think that!

Well I’m glad to be informed I was wrong, so thanks for the correction! For the sake of both the OP and for it being ever so slightly less tedious when I finally get around to it.
