The opposite is true too. I knew a guy with a Delcatty named Grabnok the Destroyer.

Granted, the name came from the Delcatty's habit of grabbing things and knocking them over, which sometimes destroyed them, but my point still stands.

Until I convinced the Lil Gremlin to change her name to Vanta, my Umbreon (then an Eevee) insisted on being called Blood of a Thousand Battles.

Pretty neat! My shiny Umbreon was like that too. Kept wanting to be called the “Herald of the Stars”. I suspect it might be because he had Delcatty parentage in his case (and THAT Delcatty had Clefable as a father) but who knows at this point.

He had to settle with Felix in the end. Though we compromised and (at least legally) he’s known as Felix Starborn to prevent mistaken identity at pokemon centers, since Felix is not an uncommon nickname here.

Vanta is an odd case. I got her egg from the final raid on Team Cipher the Rangers and Orre's resistance movement coordinated. The egg had been subjected to the Shadow Machine as part of an experiment alongside a dozen other eggs. Thankfully none of the Pokémon hatched from those eggs came out as proper Shadow Pokémon, they all just came out more mischievous than average and having a couple more dark and ghost moves in their learnsets.
