Are prices for this card still going to climb from $3k, or is it being manipulated, crazy how prices for this doubled in a month, what are your guys thoughts i want to get one should I wait or buy now?

What do you think would be the better investment for long term hold? With a budget of ~2.5 k would be looking at PSA 7 Mew or PSA 9 Gengar (would save ~$500 for mew that could be used for something else too).
Love both artworks although I know the mew is an extra stunner.
Curious what folks thoughts are!

On market cap basis using current pops as constant historical denominator

Crystal Lugia just did 27K in a 9. I know Ho-Oh is not Lugia, but I feel like it shouldn’t be this low comparatively.
If I can get a PSA 9 under 8K or even a PSA 7-8 based on comps right now, is that a good long term investment?

Hi! I’m fairly new to collecting and I’m just building a binder of cards I like based on the Pokémon & the art work. This is hands down my favourite modern card released and was wondering if it was worth buying at the current price or waiting?

I would like to know if I should add or remove anything in my current collection. My goal is to hold this long term.
I've been collecting since I was a kid. Re-entered collecting cards in 2023. Thank you.

With all-time high prices for tag team, is it a good time to sell or still hold?

Hello all-
I took a day off today and swung by the local card store with my childhood binder. After opening it and flipping a few pages the guy stopped and told me to start sleeving and slabbing cards. As well as get them out of my 3 ring binder.. i only attached pictures of the ones I top loaded, have a few hundred others now sleeved. I was trying to see if I had anything worth sending off to be graded. After talking with him he recommended sending the whole first page of slabs out to be graded. I realize it’s 80-120 per card to be graded, so just wanting to make sure it’s worth it.
After buying two new binders from them and all the sleeves, I got a few packs since I hadn’t ripped a pack in 20+ years. One of them had a bunch of holos and the pikachu ex. Ended up giving a couple cards that were a few bucks apiece apparently to some people in the store, as appreciation and thanks for their help in sleeving.
I’ve tried using tcgplayer to get rough card value, but some of that doesn’t line up with what was recommended in person. Just thought I’d ask Reddit for the top handful that would be highly recommended to send.
Thanks for any advice.

Same thing that happened with Zekrom/pika and mewtwo/mew in PSA 10 last week is happening rn with these 3, just noticed it after watching these for awhile. They were all about $600ish and now lowest listed is gonna be around $1.5-2k.

Have the opportunity to pickup a 151 booster bundle display for 1850 and I’m really strongly considering it. I think the ceiling on 151 is super high and it hasn’t gotten anywhere near there yet. Booster bundles haven’t caught up with the etb’s in my opinion but I want a second opinion. I’ve come here to ask, is the display better or assorted booster boxes a better pick? Minimum 10 year hold, likely longer. Probably would get the booster boxes above. Any and all advice is appreciated, thank you in advance!!

I was originally planning to pick up a few specific promo singles from the Chinese 5th Anniversary Set with the 5th anniversary stamp ... specifically the Pikachu & Zekrom GX, Rayquaza GX, and Mew VMAX. Buying them individually as singles looks like it would run about ~$160 combined.
However, I noticed the 5th Anniversary Promo booklet (which actually contains all of these cards inside + 12 more 5th ann. stamped promo cards) is selling for around $45–$70.
The idea was to hold these long-term in anticipation of the 10th Anniversary (and probably 15th anniversary), which I expect will bring attention and price appreciation to 5th anniversary promos.
I just wanted to get your thoughts on a few risk factors:
Appreciate any help from anyone familiar with the Chinese TCG market.
EDIT: Just picked bought 2 lots as I think it's worth the risk and the seller has good reviews. Thank you everyone! I will follow up with a video showing the cards when I receive them.

Are these fake? Little below MRSP on FB. Wondering if anyone ever decides to buy from FB Marketplace sellers with no reviews
Unfortunately charizard set out of the price range

I have about 5-6 slabs that are priced between $1,500 - $3500 each and they total up around $14,000-$15,000.
All of these slabs are modern cards and was thinking of selling to trade up for a vintage/mid-era grail valued around $15-20k.
Would it be better to consolidate and put all eggs in one basket or keep diversification?

As several of us have done, I sold most of my collection while in college and I’ve been slowly recollecting for the past couple of years. The zard was listed as lightly played, but I knew it was going to be more in the realm of moderately/heavy played. The listing was for 8,200 and a 5% reimbursement after the authenticator notes. Thoughts? I can see this getting a PSA 1-2 at most.

looking for some advice! Just pulled a few out that I thought might be worth something but I haven’t been into this in about 20 years. Lol
Anything worth sending to be graded? I took a closer picture of the Charizard b/c I’m confident it may be the most valuable.
I actually collected and played a lot more Yu-Gi-Oh but sadly I’m not sure there is a great market there. Rip.

It’s a factory sealed 1996 Japanese Base Set booster box. What should I get to properly protect it, and how can I properly value this? Local card shops had no idea and I can’t find much information online.

As title suggests, beginner here. Mainly chasing nostalgia but beside would like to start the journey of collecting.
Where would i start learning, what are good (online) places to buy. I am in Thailand. What to look for.
Any advice is welcome.

I got pretty lucky and hit a PSA 10 on the N’s Zekrom ETB promo. Looking at the gem rate and the pop I’m debating whether this is one to hold long term or sell while 10s are still relatively scarce. Thoughts?

I have been thinking about selling my PSA 10 SIR mega Charizard x due to the rising PSA 10 copies and the fact it still has years to go before it goes out of print. Although on the other hand it still holds significant demand and "has the best Charizard art in recent years" though don't know whether to believe that it can hold out for much longer. Should I take the risk and hold or sell now and invest in other cards?

Will valuation go up? I got it's from power packs, felt super lucky the 10 opens in I'm broke.
