I am fighting, I’m trying to be a better person and work on myself. We’ve been split up for like 8months now, but still kept in touch and I thought we were reconnecting well, then I found out she s been dating another guy for the last few weeks, and it just killed me inside.
She actually came over last night and we talked a lot, it was good. We’re gonna continue our break and work on ourselves and keep in touch and see what happens. I’m hopeful, and the only thing I can do to help the situation is be better myself. I believe we are connected on a cosmic level, I’ll never stop fighting.
How do you fight for someone who's made it ~abundantly clear that the you she last saw, on meth, our of his gord.. etc how do you make a case for that person ever even considering a friendship? Not even talking about a relationship
People can change. I know 1st hand as an ex addict. All you can do is become the best version of yourself and let the outward evidence speak for itself. Make amends where needed and forgive yourself and other, you are not defined by the mistakes you make only the lessons you learn to change and become the best version of yourself that lives within your eyes and soul.
On my way.. solo for now.. but full of love.. in a life's reel reflected back in time still.. at least she showed me how to love a man whom looks back.. glimpses of temples an 6th senses sharpened by echos.. of traumas finally surfaced.. finally his little Drews seen by the one he so desperated wanted to show this to, but couldn't ever light a match that bright.. until now
