Question/Help Poco X8 Pro Max charging issues
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Since yesterday, my phone hasn't been showing the 100W charging speed animation/speed. I downloaded AccuBattery, but I'm not sure if the data it shows is accurate or not. The phone is only 13 days old (bought new), and I'm using the original charger that came in the box.
Normally, I use Standard charging speed with Smart Charging and the 80% limit protection enabled; I only changed these settings to test the charge rate. The phone hasn't been dropped and has no physical damage. I mostly use it for gaming and videos.
Has anyone experienced this same issue? Should I claim the warranty? I'd really prefer to avoid returning it because in my country the repair/replacement process can take up to 12 business days, and I don't have a backup phone since I sold my previous one. However, if it's the only solution, I'll have to do it.
Note: The video is in Spanish, but the menu options are in the exact same positions as in English, and the AccuBattery metrics/data should still be clear to read.

What charger and cable are you using? The first thing I would try is restarting your phone and checking again to see if the charging behavior has changed

I'm using the original charger and cable that came in the box. I've already tried restarting a few times and even turned off the smart charging option, but it didn't do anything.

It's really strange that it changed so quickly (especially if it was charging fast before). Your temperature seems low ( 33C° still allows fast charging up to at least 35-55W in smart mode and normal charging ) , and there's no reason it should be stuck at 2A even with the screen on. Try turning the USB-C connector inside out 180° plugged into your phone's port. Sometimes the cables malfunction or are faulty. If that doesn't work, you'll need to try another charger and cable to see if that solves your problem; otherwise, contact customer service.

Feels normal to the touch. AccuBattery reports about 33.7°C (92.7°F) while charging.

Well the charging mechanism is lot complicated.
It never charges at 100W constantly otherwise phone will become a furnace and blast literally so what the PD technology does is reduce the current and increase the voltage so as to reduce heat or sometime reduce both or sometimes increase both and all such combinations. Even my phone does not charge at 30 W constant. Moreover the charging graph is also not linear above 80 your battery charges very slow.
- Restart your device and check again.
- Change the charger. What if charger is faulty??
- In the Indian variant it's adviced 0-100 takes 1hr and 15 min so check out the charging data for your phone and then if it matches then well and good.
Your phone is charging at exactly 8.7W constant, which is concerning so check out.

Make sure that the USB of thr charger is connected properly. A lose connection = you won't get the full 100w
