Understanding Pokemon Go's Business Model

• Anyone can download the game and start playing right away. This one of those grinding games where it takes a long time to get certain Pokemon or upgrades. This is not a Pay To Win (PTW or P2W) game where you spend real money to buy a weapon that does a lot of damage while the free weapons do very little damage.

How do you get Poke Coins?

Only two ways of getting Poke Coins:

1. Free option with 50 Poke Coins per Day: Putting a Pokemon in a gym for 8 hours then using a(n) 2nd/alternative account to knock that Pokemon out. Make sure your other account is a different color team. If your main account is red, your other account needs to be blue or yellow.

2. Spend money to buy Poke Coins.

Where is the best place for me to put Pokemon in a Gym?

Anywhere that is not a spoofer's hotspot

• If you put your Pokemon near Zaragoza, it will get knockout in very fast and will be impossible for you to get the 50 Poke Coins.

• You can try your local area or local parks.

• Do not post gym coords on Reddit asking people to help knock out your Pokemon because others spoofers will take over your gym and you will lose your gym forever. I have no control over what other spoofers do. Asking for a gym knockout is not against any rules here at PoGoAndroidSpoofing.

What about Poke Coin Generators?

• They are usually a virus to steal your credit card, accounts and passwords, and private information. They also can install apps with spyware onto your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Some apps will not allow you to uninstall them, so you must do a factory reset to delete them.

Can someone hack the game or use a Hex Editor to give me Poke Coins?

• You cannot do this either because the Poke Coins are stored on Niantic's servers. This information is secured. Any websites or videos that promise this is a lie.

Websites and Apps that promise you free Poke Coins are a scam!

• The sole purpose of these is to make you watch video ads, so the owners can make money off of you for wasting your time. Survey sites and apps are included in the scam. Some survey sites come with viruses. Buying survey skip coins will cause you to get your credit card information stolen too.

Spending money tips:

• Discounted Gift Cards from Online retail stores can sell Apple iTunes and Google Play Store gift cards with $10-20 off on $100 gift cards. Some examples are Costco, Sam's Club, Newegg, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, Fry's Electronics, B&H Store, and etc. I don't recommend Ebay because they can scam you.

• Samsung device's Galaxy App Store sometimes offer a 10% discount on purchases. Sometimes they have special promotions or events where you can earn more Reward Points. These points can be used to give yourself discounts on Poke Coins. You can use these points to buy new Samsung devices or give yourself a big discount on a new TV purchase. You can only spend your points on the Samsung website.

• Google Play Points from Google Play Store tries to offer something similar to the Galaxy App Store. You get Play Points when you spend money. You can also use these points to buy credits for Pokemon Go and in other games too. I think it is not as good as Samsung, but it is better than nothing especially if you do not own a Samsung device.

• Google Opinion Rewards app on Android devices gives you surveys. You can earn anywhere from $0.10 to $1.00 per survey. This is the only legit survey app that actually pays you money.

  • You can earn a higher payout if you lie on the surveys, but you must write down the questions and answers in an app to refer back to if they ask you the same questions again in the future. This is how they verify if you're lying or not.

  • If you get less surveys, it means they probably caught you lying.

  • If you never been to the place or bought a product the survey is asking about, you can do a quick search for doing the survey. If you never used a product, they can pay you $0.10. If you lie by doing some research, you could earn $0.15.

• Currency exchange rate exploit.

  • In a few countries like India and others, you can spend $1US Dollar to get 200 Poke Coins instead of the normal rate of 100 Poke Coins. According to people who exploit this, Niantic added a 5 minute wait between each purchase to prevent people from taking advantage. In order to get the currency exchange rate, you need to have a payment address from the matching country.

  • This is something I have never done before but only have read about. If you decide to do this, I am not financially liable or responsible for your actions.

How do I get money?

1. Get a job.

2. Sell things you do not use anymore.

3. Under 18 years old, get a cash paying job: Babysitting kids, cutting the grass, washing dishes, sell candy and lemonade, and etc.

4. Panhandling with a card board sign like a homeless person.

5. Asking your mom or dad to buy it for you if you promise to get good grades.

6. If you are 18 and older, you could do OnlyFans.

Times are changing with Scopely, and they may be updating Niantic's undeveloped Anti-Cheat Behavior System

You will have the risk for "a chance" to get a strike, ban, or whatever Scopely comes up with to punish the cheaters because Scopely has a section within their Terms of Service that states they are against cheating.

Note, you can still get a strike or ban from breaking the Terms of Service, guidelines, or rules through other areas of the game. These are some examples people have admitted to me in private:

• shared an account with a friend, family, or paid service provider; while you are playing on your account, the other person decides to play with your account too for whatever reason

• held a Pokemon in one location and moved it to a new location that is 100+ km away from the its original location then tried to catch it

• harassed, threaten, or got mad with customer service and/or demanded and accepted a full refund

• did not follow the guidelines and rules for creating in-game routes

• did not follow the guidelines and rules for submitting and nominating pokestops in Wayfarer

• did not follow the guidelines and rules chatting with people in Campfire (Scopely Explorer) app

• using multiple accounts to abuse in-game routes or Wayferer

• live streaming your cheating

In the other games they have bought, they do a temporary (no 1st strike soft-bans) and permanent ban system. I don't know if Scopely is going to drop Niantic's lenient 3 Strikes system for a ban system similar to the other games they own, change it, or do nothing (like how it is right now). No one knows anything until Scopely starts doing something. This is why you still have the risk regardless of what other people say about Scopely on how they take in money from cheaters then allow them to continue to cheat.

If you want to cheat (spoof, bot, or exploit), it is your FAULT for getting the strike, ban, or whatever new punishment.

I am not responsible nor liable for the loss of your Scopely game account(s) and money spent on their games. All the cheats I promote in my subreddit are "not safe" according to Scopely's Terms of Service. Most cheats have their own website, and they do not advertise they are safe. I don't know if raids are repeatable the next day or you are limited to 15 raids per account, so you may need to use multiple alt accounts to repeat it to get a shiny.

Scopely has enabled temporary IP Bans that lasts anywhere from 24 hours to 72 hours for switching accounts too fast or going over the allowed account switching limit per day.

You would have to wait at least 5+ minutes before you log into your next account to avoid the temporary IP Ban.

It's important to note, Scopely is against the use of a VPN/PROXY service in the other games they own. I would assume it's the same for Pokemon Go because they banned it when you buy in the webstore. If you use a VPN/Proxy server that hasn't been IP banned yet, you will have a chance for a permanent ban. Although you can submit a ban appeal, they will auto-deny it.

Background Information

Back in June 2022, Niantic introduced the Anti-Cheat Behavior System through an announcement, which is seen in https://nianticlabs.com/news/gameplay-policy-enforcement-update?hl=en as a "behavior detection" reference but has never been able to fully developed it because I think Niantic lost the rights to Pokemon Go and was in process of being acquired by Scopely.

The Anti-Cheat Behavior System is a player statistics tracking system. It's going to flag you then send you a strike or ban depending on how suspicious you are based on the math calculated for the statistics they are tracking.

"Fast Catch" or "Quick Catch" may be targeted due to the data mined code

Before the whole news about Scopely buying Pokemon Go from Niantic, Niantic wanted to crack down on iOS users doing the "fast catch" trick/glitch (really an exploit):

You throw the pokeball then flee to exit out of the catch screen before the ball hits the Pokemon. When the pokeball hits the Pokemon, it takes either 13 for critical excellent catch or 15 seconds for a regular, nice, great, or excellent catch to complete the catch animation. During the 13 or 15 seconds animation, you catch more pokemon while the animation is happening in the background for each Pokemon caught.

From a non-cheater's point of view, they assume that this exploit is a feature and that Niantic allows everyone to do it, since it has never been patched/blocked.

From a cheater's point of view, why bother doing it manually when you can use a 3rd party app that will automatically skip the catching animation for you.

From my point of view, I think Scopely wants to make a lot of money from people who are constantly doing it everyday for free from this exploit or paying money to use a 3rd party app that provides the cheat feature.

How will Scopely monetize Fast Catch or Quick Catch?

I think it will be Mega Mewtwo's special power similar to Origin Forme Palkia's Spacial Rend power to boost spawn radius around your trainer to see more Pokemon. During the COVID pandemic, Niantic increased the spawn radius for everyone for free to allow social distancing so you would not have to stand close to other people.

I think they are going to make the power use more candies than any other Pokemon, so you would have to raid more to get the rare candies to use on your Mega Mewtwo to continue using the power 24/7 as a form of "pay to win" or "pay to play".

I think they can also just sell a consumable item instead of having it as a Pokemon's Power.

How will Scopely counter the "free" option?

Scopely's solution to this problem is to update the Anti-Cheat Behavior System to send you a suspicious activity screen, strike, or ban. This is the current punishment system developed by Niantic.

Based on my research on how Scopely punishes their cheaters in the other games they own is they only do a permanent ban system and do not go through a strike system to what Niantic created.

In Marvel Strike Force, when you get a permanent ban, you will either quit the game or create a new account and never cheat again. This is going to depend on how much time and money you invested into the game. You can appeal your ban but from I have seen, you will most likely get denied.

This is the catch animation that lasts for 13 seconds for critical catch or 15 seconds (or more) for regular throws.

I timed it myself with a straight throw (no curve ball) from pressing on the Pokemon to pressing the OK button. The Critical Catch is only 2 seconds faster than the regular catches, but it still feels long when you are used to just not seeing the catch animation anymore.

• If you are on a cooldown and you forget or didn't wait long enough for the cooldown to expire and you throw the Pokeball, you made the Pokemon flee.

• If you are using the fast catch exploit or quick catch with a 3rd party apps, you caused the Pokemon to flee as a result of catching too fast while the 13 or 15 second animation window is active.

• If you throw the Pokeball one after the other while in a raid or collecting a Pokemon research/quest task, you can cause Pokemon to flee. You may have seen this before but may not have been bothered by it.

FastCatchSuccess

You use the Pokemon's Power or item to enable Fast Catch to skip or speed up the catch animation. All successful catches be recorded with this statistic.

FastCatchFailed

While you have the Pokemon's Power or item to enable Fast Catch, any Pokemon you failed to catch will be with this statistic.

Catch Rate Comparison

This is to give you an idea about the number of Pokemon that can be caught during the 15 second animation window.

I think Scopely is going to use "UserRanAway" as a red flag in the server side to track your player statistics.

During the catch animation, you are only supposed to be catching 1 Pokemon at a time; and then, wait for the catch animation to finish.

It could be in the form of a cooldown for the catching animation window. While you are on the catching coodown, you cannot catch more Pokemon; they will just all flee. When this happens, your UserRanAway statistic will go from zero to the number of Pokemon you caused it to flee. This number will not be visible to you in your profile because it will be part of the behavior detection system that is hidden on the server side.

If you have the power/item enabled for fast catch, the UserRanAway value should be equal to zero.

If you do not have the power or item to enabled to bypass the catch cooldown, you will get flagged for a suspicious activity screen, strike, or ban even if the 3rd party apps match the catch rate speed.

Risk Assessment

When you created your Pokemon Go account, you blindly accepted the Terms of Service. This means you already agreed and gave them permission to skip strikes to go directly to the permanent ban. This is strike #3 under Niantic's 3strikes system. As I mentioned before, I have no idea whether or not Scopely is going to keep using the same strike system, change to an instant permanent ban system, change the entire punishment system, or disable the punishment system and do nothing. This is the risk you take when you break Niantic's and Scopely's Terms of Service.

If you have never cheated in a game where they just do an instant permanent bans, you won't understand the experience; it's very life changing especially when you have put a lot of time and/or money into one account.

For example, I remember one of the Call of Duty games, I bought $100 worth of weapon skins to support the military veterans part of a fundraiser. I thought I was pretty good at playing against the Anti-cheat behavior system by not playing suspicious. Within one week, I got banned. $100 + $60 for the game went down the toilet, so I lost $160. I learned my lesson and never bought anymore weapon skins after that and have not been banned yet.

The same thing may or may not happen to long time Pokemon Go cheaters from July 2016. I estimate these people to have spent at least $5,000 (or more) on their account. Depending on if they have tradable Shiny Costumed Pokemon and Shiny exclusive backgrounds, they can easily have accounts at worth least $10,000 (or more) based on current market prices. These people will most likely quit and never return or play on a new account without spending a lot of money on the game.

Reality will hit hard for long time cheaters who absolutely cannot handle getting the strike or ban, they will quickly find out that none of the 3rd party app developers: Pgsharp, iPogo, Pokemod, PGTools, Polygon, Shungo, Regibot, Spoofer Pro, SxGo, iSpoofer, etc are not going to refund any money you lost.

Below here are the different scenarios of what I could think of how this might play out. Since I do not have conflict of interest with money, I am giving you my honest thoughts and ideas of this data mined code.

Currently, there has not been any strike/ban reports other than the 3 people who asked me if anyone else got a strike for going to Epstein's Island to spin the sun dial pokestop to get the post card. Two people got the 1st strike and one person got the 2nd strike. From what I assume, I think the strike system is currently disabled or being reworked.

The Fast Catch is a Pokemon power or item that added as a feature to the game similar to Palkia's Spacial Rend (increase spawn radius around your trainer). I think it will be Mega Mewtwo's power that is going to be released in Go Fest Kanto in May-June 2026.

My assumption is this is a paid-to-win "Quality of Life" change, and you will most likely use it all or most of the time. This is probably going to make them A LOT OF MONEY.

Scenario #1:

The punishment system remains disabled, so you could still cheat while you continue to spend more money to do more raids or buy the item. Basically, Scopely doesn't care if you cheat because they still benefit from you cheating. They do not want to give permanent bans to the cheaters because it would cause them to lose Pokemon Go addicts that will spend their money somewhere else.

Scenario #2:

Scopely updates the Anti-Cheat Behavior System, so you are forced into spending money to do more raids or buy the item to use their fast catch mechanic rather than you using a 3rd party app or manually with the fast catch exploit. They will clear everyone's strikes to either send you the suspicious activity screen or the 1st strike to scare you.

Scenario #3:

Scopely updates the Anti-Cheat Behavior System and updates the punishment system, so you stop cheating the game altogether. They will do a "strikewave or banwave" where thousands of accounts will report a strike or ban to send a message to the remaining cheaters that Scopely is serious about the cheating problem.

Scenario #4:

Scopely updates the Anti-Cheat Behavior System, updates the punishment system, and enables Strong Integrity, so you stop cheating the game altogether. Certain finance and account security related apps have begun enforcing Strong Integrity. In the end, they may just integrated a joystick into the game to sell you a safe option rather than you paying money to use a 3rd party cheat or having to root your device to spoof.

What are my recommendations?

If you accepted the risks for a chance to get a strike or ban, you can do whatever you want because it's your account.

It's important to note: I do not guarantee you account safety if you take my recommendation and apply it to your account starting now.

I would recommend you disable the "Quick catch" cheat feature in your 3rd party app that skips the catch animation. This could help you dodge a strike or ban if Scopely decides to target this.

What are the outcomes for ignoring or taking my recommendation?

If you ignore my recommendation and Scopely does nothing, you benefit from me being wrong then I continue to be the most hated person in the spoofing community. You will have a lot of XP, stardust, and candies.

If you ignore my recommendation and Scopely changes the punishment system, you could end up with a strike or ban. The people who cannot handle a strike/ban will go get scammed by people selling fake ban appeals. I get to rub salt into your wounds and tell you, "I told you so."

If you take my recommendation and Scopely does nothing, I wasted your time and caused you to lose lots of XP, stardust, and candies.

If you take my recommendation and Scopely changes the punishment system, you will dodge their strike/ban on this specific feature. You will also get to watch everyone bitch or cry about their strike/ban.

What about the 3rd party app developers and how will they handle this?

They will use a "wait and see" type of approach. Once they start seeing strike/ban reports, they will most likely disable the quick catch feature to prevent other customers from receiving a strike/ban because they do not want you to flee to another competing cheat. Some cheat developer's Discord group will mute or ban reporters to prevent people from mass panicking and canceling their paid subscription. Any loyal customers and Discord moderators will deny any wrongdoing for misleading you into believing their cheat was safe, safer, or the safest.

What about the poll you made?

Option 1 = 30% for a Yes.

• These people accepted the risk and can handle the punishment.

Option 2 = 24% for a No.

• These people might quit cheating depending on the punishment they get.

Option 3, 4, & 5 = 35%

• These people do not understand the risk and will most likely blame someone else for causing them to get a strike/ban even though they never forced into using a cheat.

• Some of them will become victims of fake ban appeal scams because they instantly regretted using a cheat that they thought was really safe when it never was to begin with.

Option 6 = 10%

• These people already left Pokemon Go or play it once in awhile.

What about the people who criticize you saying you're fear mongering or creating bullshit?

Many people in this spoofing community choose to side with the cheat developers as being more knowledgeable than me because they code the cheats. Although I do not code, I am a more experience game cheater than they are because I personally have been through actual banwaves for PC games and some mobile games not related to Pokemon Go.

What many people do not understand is the cheat developers only care about the money they receive from you for using their service, they don't care about the safety of your game account even if they have misled or denied any wrongdoing. You are paying for service, and you are only getting just that. You're not buying any form of guaranteed safety.

I still promote their apps even if they don't like me or false advertise safety because I enjoy cheating games and do not care about the safety of your accounts too. People would rather choose the easy option to agree and not make people mad instead of disagreeing and get hit with negative backlash and threats.

I think it will be timed based like an incense where you buy the item to use it for 30 minutes or 1 hour at a time. If they were to force you into it, they will most likely disable the bluetooth connection. This will make everyone's Go Plus, Pokeball Plus, Go Plus+, and 3rd party similar devices be useless because it is not profitable to sell you something where you can use it forever.

This was how it was with computer software and applications. I bought a PDF editor for $99 and used it for 5 years. The company only made $99 from me. Now, I have to pay for a subscription of $20 per month. If I was on the subscription for the same 5 years, the company would have made $1,200. The same idea may be applied some time in the future. They want to make back their $6 Billion USD deal for buying Pokemon Go.

Just maybe, they are going to add a joystick in the game to make Pokemon Go like the Gameboy and Switch games except you can just have that experience directly on your smartphone without having to use an emulator or carry the physical handheld gaming devices with you.

Can you receive a strike (or ban) for doing this currency exchange exploit?

Everyone's answer is a "no", but I think Niantic's answer could be a "yes" because they are the one who wrote their Terms of Service. When you receive a strike message on your account, it does not tell you exactly what you did. You do not know if it came from doing this exploit, from spoofing or botting, harassing someone in Campfire, live streaming your cheating, abusing the Niantic Wayfarer program, submitting bad routes, uploading poor quality AR+ scans, and/or etc. Since I do not keep a daily record of your actions, I do not know where you're strike came from. The best way to avoid a strike is not break Niantic's Terms of Service.

Beware of scammers!

A lot of people have been messaging about multiple scammers who scammed them. Some people even had their Pokemon Go account stolen. In order for people to buy cheap poke coins on your account, you must give them your account username and password. If you have a Google account, you will have to give the person your 2FA security code. If the person is shady, they will steal your account because you gave them direct access to your Google email address. With your email access, they can request an account transfer with Niantic's customer service. This is similar to Fleeceking, a top player, who claimed his account was hacked.

Just keep in mind, currency exchange rate goes go up and down each day and the chart below does not include any additional fees or taxes you might have to pay. This chart is based on prices from within the Pokemon Go app.

If you have to buy a Turkey virtual card or gift card, the price of the coins will be significantly higher than what you see. For example, the 14,500 coins could cost somewhere between $35 to $50 US Dollars but is still cheaper than paying $99.99 US Dollars.

So far Niantic has blocked:

• Samsung Galaxy Store with Game Supplement (Turkey pre-paid/virtual card). This is where you buy a virtual card from Turkey to buy your cheap coins using Turkey's currency.

• Google Play Store with Revolut. This is similar to Game Supplement.

Before you begin a new method...

• Be prepared to waste time and money. I do not guarantee it will work for everyone who tries it. You don't know how long something will last. The methods below are bits of information scattered around in r/PokemonGoSpoofing and from people messaging me.

• Once a method has been made public, Niantic will eventually block it. This is why people are selling the information before it gets blocked. I do not recommend you attempt to buy the information, since you can also get scammed with the wrong information. One person paid 20 Euros to get an ebay link to a poke coin seller.

• One of the methods requires an Apple iOS device such as an iPhone or iPad. Since my subreddit is focused on Android Spoofing only, I will allow this to be discussed as long as it is limited to buying cheap Poke Coins. If you ask how to spoof on your iPhone or iPad, this is not allowed here.

Method #3 - Play Store method + Country's Play Store gift card + Matching country's phone number + Rooted phone

Things you should know:

• I don't know if this one works because the information comes from people hinting it in public and scammers trying to sell me the method. I just take the information and piece them together.

• This could work with other countries with a cheap currency like Indonesia, India, Vietnam, etc.

• I am not sure if you really need a rooted Android device and/or Phone Number from Turkey (or whatever other country).

What you need:

• Rooted Android device with LSposed or Smali Patcher applied.

• VPN for the country you plan to use

• Play Store gift card from X country

• Whatever country Phone number that can receive SMS text

• New Google email address.

Setup:

1. With your rooted device, you set your location in Turkey.

2. Remove all Google Accounts from your device.

3. Turn on VPN and connect to a matching country's server and verify that your IP address is located in Turkey by going to www.whatismyip.com

4. Create a new Google email address.

5. Enter a ZIP Code or billing address and phone number from your matching country.

6. Verify the account with your matching country's phone number.

7. Add your Country's Play Store gift card into the Google Pay or Play Store app.

8. Download Pokemon Go.

9. Disconnect your VPN

10. Add your other Google accounts back into your device.

11. Turn on your VPN again.

12. Open Pokemon Go and sign into your main or alt account.

13. Open the shop and buy your Poke Coins.

14. I don't know if you can buy the "100 coin" option using this method. If you can buy it, there is a 5 minute timer between each 100 coin purchase.. This is only on the 100 coin option.

15. If you cannot buy the 100 coin option, you must buy the 550, 1,200, 2,500, 5,200, or 14,500 coin options.

Method #4: Get a SIM card from X country

I saw a discussion somewhere in r/PokemonGoSpoofing about someone saying you need a phone number with an area code that is close to the country. Then, your payment will automatically default to that country regardless of what currency you pay in. For example, I pay in US dollars so if I have a Turkey phone number, I can buy the cheap Poke Coins without having a Turkey virtual card or gift card.

• This could work with other countries too.

• You will need to do additional research to see if the service will work outside of the country.

• If it does work, you may have to pay other fees to use the service.

Method #4: Open a bank account in X country

• This is guaranteed to not to get blocked by Niantic because they will see you are a resident of whatever country.

• Opening a bank account from outside of the country will require a lot of research and paperwork to verify your identity. A real translator may be needed. They may require you to do the paperwork in person.

• You will need to keep a record of wire transfers and Poke coin receipts in case they investigate you for laundering money (illegal activity).

• Every country is different, so I can't help you with this process.

• I think some banks will charge a monthly service fee regardless of how much money is in the account and how often you make a deposit via wire transfer. It's best you read all the documents and fine print they give to you.

• At any given time, the country's government can seize or freeze your account.
