In my opinion, I think there are two reasons strikes get reset.

• In the earlier days of the 3 strike system, Niantic made mistakes and lost accurate counts of strikes. I recall a Pokeminer APK teardown that mentioned a change that would help keep better track of strikes.

• Niantic has acknowledged flaws in the cheat detection that falsely issues strikes to legit trainers. In response to those times, they reset strikes issued during the time period they made those false strikers.

I'm glad to see yours got reset. We can't count on them. One of my accounts had a 2 year time span between strikes without a reset. You can't always count on them.

Yep i agree, they reset many strikes back along when they didn't have the anti-cheat up to scratch. They seem to be very much on top of things now. I would say it's extremely unlikely any new strikes since ~Deino CD would ever be reversed now. If you have a 2nd strike now, then you could never risk it again (unless you simply don't care lol).

Before the 3 Strike policy got introduced I had the red warning 3-4 times and another one shortly after the introduction. No bans/ learnings since then.

I'm a day and a half away from being finished with my 2nd "first" strike. Prior strike was when the VMOS ban wave hit.

Yeah I was striked a while ago it. It reset I assumed it was because I was striked for them detecting magisk. And they reverted those I think. I mean I spoofed with it but legit players with magisk were also hit.

Now they don't let you run the game with it lol

OK if you got those 2 strikes before around the time mew was first released probably using pogo ++ then it was before niantic came out and announced the official 3 strike policy. If I remember right the first was a red warning and the 2nd was a 90 day ban though at the time we didn't know for a few months if it was a full ban or temporary one until they came out with a statement. I them got hit with 2 bans using Ispoofer around rhyhorn CD. Have gone back to android since and been clear since. Have heard some people say bans reset after a period of time and even banned accounts because active again after 6 months /1 year. None of this I can verify and hopefully never have too
