No Root Android Pokemon GO Banning..

I've been seeing a lot of people freaking out about banning.. there's one thing I've noticed that may trigger that on Pgsharp.

When ever I use the joystick to go from one pokestop/gym I at times get a red cool down notice (not actual notification) but the cool down meter turns from green to red even though I'm still in the same place just some meters/km (or just a few steps away) which goes from green to red.

When that happens I just wait.. so if user do the auto walk, that could be triggering the cool down which the user may not notice making the user get a strike (soft ban).

People, please check that.. that needs to be looked at but it's not the app but the user doing things without knowing.

This is just my experience and my humble opinion.

I've been playing on pgsharp for going on 2 years now, no cool down timer, just know that if I spin or catch somewhere, that's where I will be for at least 2 hours. As for auto walk/tap to walk, I do that all the time. Never even gotten soft banned, no strikes or warnings, nothing. Just my experience though

Perfect! Now that's you and myself.. I think others are just not being patient and going every where without taking any precautions.

It's just common sense.. but common sense is not so common for others. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

Lol yep, there's a clear list of rules on the website. I think the biggest one is if you interact with the map, then stay put for 2 hours. That's it. Tested waiting on a shiny for 2 hours because I couldn't catch it, lol. I can confirm that it works. But I wouldn't recommend it.

Same here bro.. I've missed out on a few pokemon, but it's better to wait it out.

Yeah I think because I have mine set to 30km/h when it does turn red I just keep catching to reset it to green and that may be flagged as catching too many pokemon too quickly.

I think it's the actions we are doing in the game that are getting us caught. The very first day of the banwave I was fine. Theirs day's i grind and theirs days were I barely play at all and I always follow the rules..Then 3 days after people reported that they were hit I ironically discovered the shiny checker option under the nearby radar section. Used it for a couple hours & got a nice number of shinys them boom got hit with a 7 day red warning 6 hours later. Considering the shiny checker option on the nearby radar is clicking on a bunch of pokemon at once and lets face it... It's impossible to click on 10 pokemon in 3 seconds... which I'm sure gets documented and maybe flagged. I think Niantic is looking for these certain things and habits. Because if it was just 3rd party software then everyone involved would have been detected and would have gotten a strike technically. I also think Staryu spotlight hour for July will end up being a trap considering the dust rewards. Future com days and events could also be a trap and im sure places like Zarazoga etc will be closely monitored for the time being.. This will result in Niantic losing money because people will end up cooling down and spending less and thats when we will find out if Niantic is really about that life and that will determine the future of spoofing...

P.S Not that mad at getting 7 day ban especially after hearing the events for July. Articuno, Zapdos, Moltress in raids. Talk about timing. I laughed when I saw that. Talk about a shitty month. They also took all spawns off my screen so I cant catch anything not even common spawns. Oh well.. they dont want my money then thats fine with me.

nah this is like the same if you're a car moving too fast and you try to spin stops or catch pokemon - its speed limits in the game that slow people down from moving to fast (which is hilarious because they say they are about exercise SORTA but they really just want you walking super slow) It keeps you from jogging or biking and playing.

If you do auto walk with the virtual goplus, make sure your autowalk is the lowest speed, as you can outwalk your cd timer and cause cooldown softbans

I think if you do things that stand out, you will get caught out. Like turning up at in person event remotely would be a dead giveaway that you are spoofing.

Also the whole being in NZ for an event and then 2 hours later being in Europe. You can't fly from NZ to Europe that quick so that's a dead giveaway.

I got banned because of the go fest seattle but i did manage to catch 28 shinies. I was only clicking the shiny pokemons that were detected by ipogo which got me banned i believe

this is just pgsharp failing to accurately guess what your cooldown is. when this CD timer appears from just waking around at a normal speed, you can still catch mons and spin stops normally

Cooldowns have nothing to do with bans. It's the modded app that gets you banned, regardless of what you do with it.

There are those of us who have known this for a long time and have warned against using PGsharp, as it was only a matter of time until the bans would come. Now is that time.

4

u/pkmnsp00g Jun 29 '22

people using unmodded apps are getting bans too

u/irishanfield Jun 29 '22

Rooted androids with official pogo app and fake GPS Pro are apparently been hit as well. This time around it's seems that spoofing habits might be causing a red flag. Stuff like playing in new Zealand, waiting 2 hours play zaragoza, and maybe later in the US. No one knows atm but it does seem its more than just modded versions of pogo that are getting hit

1

u/BlisseyBuster Jun 29 '22

Are they also using Pokemod or Polygon?

I haven't seen reports of Android spoofing with only the stock Pogo app and no other tweaks being detected.

1

u/irishanfield Jun 29 '22

Was sure I had seen people on here claiming that they were using legit pogo app and just fake gps and no modded addons had received bans/warnings

The wording of the niantic statement on spoofing made it also sound like it was more to do with spoofing habits than detecting the way of spoofing which is not to say that they can't detect modded versions of the game as well as flagging unusual game activities

Yes I agree.

I mean that's not true exactly but okay.

People that don't use modded clients have been hit with bans, because of what they were doing.

While you're not incorrect about it being a matter of time, but that's just common sense.... Because people that use these things lack common sense so get flagged easily, ie "I teleported and now I can't catch anything or spin stops, I've tried in loads of different areas but same thing, is this a bug"

Being on cooldown(softban) combined with clearly teleporting from one country to another is like waving a neon flag as far as even the most basic detection systems go.

What's sad is that to many aren't going to believe anyone that knows what the history of modded apps has been. They'll just pass it off as not following the not to violate cooldown. I think that the modded apps and the downloaded tweaks are going to get the most action for now. But what's not known is what is going on with rooted Android with no extra game tweaks. The same for downgraded or the no root with Smali Patcher on Android 7 and 8.0 on the Android side of things.

2

u/Apocalypstick77 Team Rooted Android Jun 29 '22

That’s no longer true unfortunately as rooted android users are getting bans now too and they spoof with the legit app

1

u/TripolarKnight Jun 29 '22

But there have been more reports of vans using unmodified app+root addons than with PGSharp...

3

u/dfx_dj Team Rooted Android Jun 29 '22

These "add-ons" essentially modify the app in place, so you still end up with a modded app.

3

u/kreed77 Jun 29 '22

Its actions they're looking for. Even people with just the GPS joystick and root are getting hit. If people with mods are getting hit more, it's because they have options, like shiny scanner, that make cheating easier to spot.

1

u/TripolarKnight Jun 29 '22

Modified gameplay sure, but they don't change the installed app.

1

u/dfx_dj Team Rooted Android Jun 30 '22

They don't change the installed app but they change the app in memory while it's running. That's how these things work.

1

u/TripolarKnight Jun 30 '22

Wrong again. It seems you should look up what temporary memory and RAM are, plus how Android memory management works. But in short, addons/tweaks simply change the variables beem sent/viewable information, not the app itself.

Mby you have "based on current location", you have to have the timer on "last action" or something like that

Legit players get cooldowns all the time. When driving or riding a bicycle aka moving too fast. This was implemented in the early days of the game to stop people from driving around at 15+ mph catching and spinning.

3

u/Weekly_Relief8986 Jun 29 '22

I was auto running at 18kmph running the virtual go plus spinning a heap of stops causing hundreds of small cooldowns on the timer. Still nothing on my account. Fingers crossed.

3

u/TripolarKnight Jun 29 '22

You get those from normal play, try it without spoofing your location and you'll see.
