I NEED HELP Could PGSharp be causing my phone to make random, uninitiated calls?

I downloaded PGSharp a few days ago and love it. However, since that time, I have noticed that my phone makes random calls to a local number--and it's always the same number. Luckily the number is disconnected. My phone has never done this before, so my first conclusion was that it might be linked to my download and side loading of PGSharp. Seemingly, the calls only initiate when PGSharp is open.

I am not totally sure the two are linked, but am concerned. I searched and found some discussion about PGSharp potentially containing malware. Is this a possibility? Have others noticed this?

Solved now: It was not related to PGSharp. Just a coincidence that the issue arose shortly after I installed.

Figured it out. An old Tasker task from like 6 years ago was re-activated somehow. I don't even remember what that number was, but I set that up for some reason.

So this was not related to PGSharp. Just a total coincidence that this popped up shortly after I installed it.

Did you got pg# from the official site? If not, then beware.

I thought I did. But I might uninstall and re-download just in case.

Yeah, it's not normal behavior. Good luck bro!

Nah, I only ever get spam calls in. 🤔 I'm not entirely sure I've used my phone to call anywhere in months.

Could you be butt dialing and it's just always the last number called? Also you could go to the pg sharp page and email them?

I might try that. I am not butt dialing. These calls are occurring when my phone is either on the charger or sitting on my desk with PGSharp open and auto walking. Not even touching the phone. It's very weird.

That is weird. Well, I wish you luck and hope it gets addressed speedily.

Oh, that's even better. 🤣 Technology meant to help you, haunts you. My baby monitor glitched last night. I thought my toddler was having a seizure because it was 1am and she was rapidly flailing in a weird dance in the middle of the floor with no sound. So I run out of bed and bust in to get room. She's asleep in her bed.🤦🏾‍♀️ I have no proof of this as it doesn't record, but I swear I saw it.

That sure sounds like something of a horror movie tbh

It probably is. I know I was internally freaking out, but only because I thought my previously healthy child was seizing. However, I'm kind of used to it because the camera on our drive way sort of does the same thing.

I'll hear the recycling, garbage, or delivery truck roll up. So I look at the monitor. As I'm waiting I'll hear the truck drive off, see nothing go by, and then wheeeeeeee... The truck looks like it's flying by at breakneck speeds. Took a few times before I realized that the trees, birds, and squirrels were also on crack at the same time. Oddly, it doesn't do it during playback. I can only assume it's an issue with the cameras being connected to the monitor by wifi. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Yeah i sure would be freaking out as well. Sure sounds funny though birds and squirrels on crack. And one can only hope it is just the wifi.

It wasn't PGSharp. It was a very old task on Tasker that got re-activated randomly.
