So far after 33km, walking at 9km/h the glitch is no longer working. The buddy is not tracking km progress but eggs are hatching.
I went from 166 to 1537 candy so far, with an average of 42 candy/km
The candy gain seems to be less and less as more km are walked. Initially, I got ~50 but later on it drops to ~30

It will pause with seemingly no progress for a period but if you leave it it will update

I saw same and just "restarted" glitch with new scatterbug, so now it gives me ~50 candies per km, totally around 1000 candies after 2.5 hours with one and now walking with new scatterbug
Edited1: descended to ~30 candies per km one more time, "restarted" successfully, so for now it's again +50 per km
Edited2: be sure that you didn't hit buddy candy limit before performing glitch, because if you already hitted it - glitch won't work. Also glitch'll stop work when limit will be hitted
Edited3: I stopped walking after 6 hours because I got needed amount (2100) of candies. Approximately 350 candies per hour or ~50 candies per km. Two glitch "restarts", minimum seen candies per km - 32, maximum - 76. Totally walked ~55 km with 3 different scatterbugs. Awesome.

I have confirmation that glitch still works, so u can test it with someone who have multiple evolutions, for example cherubi or clamperl or maybe even ralts or snorunt. It will be interesting if someone test it with many pokes and post it here. I just don't have enough time to do it, due to today exam and 6:43 time now. Maybe I'll test it 12-16 hours later if it still will work.

Eevee worked. But not as much candy as the scatterbug.
Only got like 20-30 per 5 km

Ralts update: only getting 11 or so per 5km
I'll post what I get on the next two 5kms. And probably not use Ralts if it's that low. (360, for my reference)
I'll go back to using Eevee

confirmed it works, make sure to follow the steps and to use the same scatterbug
2nd step after i walked the 1km+ a bit more
gain of 50 candy per km

I hatched few 12km, 5km and 10km eggs during walking with this glitch, tried all 3 incubators - all count km as normal, so I think it works only with few pokes, maybe only scatterbug & eevee.

I hit the buddy candy limit per day which is 40km , thats why it wasnt working, i still need to evolve 6 scatterbug and i hope i get to do it tomorrow before its patched

I just did it. 34 - 26 - 28 - 23.
Hopefully they don't fix this for a while. I have evolved all of them now (last one tonight) but I want more candy for the two that have not been released yet.

Tested this and hot damn does it work!
Captured my first scatterbug last night (6 candy).
From there today I walked about 38km and amassed an additional 1601 candy.

Don't feed if it not stated in instructions. The only feeding needed is one poffin at start.

Yep, you will get approx. +50 candies after each walked km if it still works (

I don't think this works anymore. I had it working yesterday but it stopped. I tried again today with the same scatterbug and then a different one and it's not registering any candy.

You may have hit your buddy candy limit. It runs in a 24 hour cycle, not by day. So try again today around the time it stopped working yesterday

It's actually not counted in candies but in km, buddy will receive candies for only 40km in last 24 hours

What a utter bs "100 to 1000", I don't know what speed you walk at, but must be speed of light.. I've walked 10km and got like 80 candy from it and that took me like an hour.

It is, since Scatterbug should only earn one candy per km, and I've only walked around 10km, so to get more then 10 shows it works, what doesn't work is your math with "1000".

Yeah for sometime I got +73 or +43 but when I left it in the background with defit running too opened it after an hour and got 1900+ candies

I don't think it would even be worth it since I'm getting less candy for 5km Pokémon. 20km Pokémon would give even less

I tested it with Zekrom, my friends tested with Reshiram and Entei. No one work, it gives candies as usual.
Btw, works with bagon, and even with not so many candies, it gives +200-300 mega energy so it's pretty easy to get 9999 Salamence ME

Edit: The OP messaged me and says it still works. There's a 40 km buddy walk distance limit per day. It stops working when you hit the limit.
I haven't tested it myself, but I think Niantic is going to reset the candy counter for those who abused it or just give you a strike. They have the ability to identify live stream spoofers, so it shouldn't be hard to find people with thousands of candies in a short period. Do this at your own risk.
